Just the Facts: A recent survey from NAICU shows that the 2023-2024 FAFSA delays had a large impact on the Fall 2024 enrollment. Notably, 74% of private nonprofit colleges reported that these delays affected their class composition, with 44% of institutions reported having a smaller incoming class than last year, and 22% saw fewer students receiving financial aid. These impacts increased stress on staff and altered institutional processes and these insights underscore the challenges colleges face in an uncertain financial aid landscape.
