Faith is more than just a personal belief; it’s a guiding principle that shapes our purpose and approach in every decision. In this episode of Beyond the Trees, Dylan Ripley, AAMS® and Todd Vincent discuss the role of faith in building a firm that’s grounded in something bigger than financial success. For us, faith is about commitment to principles that extend beyond the bottom line—it’s about loving your neighbor, serving with integrity, and fostering a community rooted in shared values. I’ve mentioned before that Alicia W. frequently says, “Your emotions are real, but they’re not reality.” So how does that apply to us now? Ignoring our feelings or dwelling on them can cause problems for us and the folks around us, like our staff, students, families, and friends. True emotions only last 90 seconds and if they last longer than that, you are getting lost in the stories you associate with them. Finding a happy medium of being able to feel your emotions without getting lost in them is crucial to your success as a supervisor and professional. Like what you see and want to see more?
