some insights to ponder here...
Could it be that where women exceed, they’re asked to leave? 🤔 Let’s break the pattern and *aim* for equality where men and women can fairly compete in events—like equestrianism, archery, dogsled racing, NASCAR, and even chess. 🎥 @blumineck via Instagram

Did you know? Women have been part of the trucking industry since the early 1900s. In 1909, Alice Huyler Ramsey became the first woman to drive coast-to-coast, paving the way for generations to come. Today, women make up 13.7% of drivers in the industry—a number that keeps growing. Every step forward matters as we work toward a more inclusive and diverse workforce. #SemiTrailerLeasing #SemiTrailerSales #FleetMaintenance #FleetConsulting #TruckingIndustry Source: DAT, https://lnkd.in/gPKQ_3Jd. Is there anything more inspiring than listening to a panel of passionate, forward focused leaders in their own fields? There were some fabulous take-aways from the evening that are worth a share: 👉 How influential a good mentor can be in career projection and choices! 👉 The benefit of coaching to take your career to the next step (and learn a lot about yourself on the way!) 👉 Change without good leadership makes it hard to gain momentum - aim to grab leadership opportunities so your technical side can grow. 👉 Challenges are tough. Period. Utilising your superiors, coaches or mentors, co-workers, understanding your own work-styles and energy zappers, and sticking to your goal are all ways you can successfully overcome challenges and help people around you too. 👉 Personal growth and investing in yourself is where it is at. 👉 There are so many opportunities in tech - these days tech requires more critical thinking, communication, creativity and future thinking - skills are very transferrable. Seize the opportunities! 👉 There's no one way to reach a goal, take the time to find the path that's right for you. https://lnkd.in/gQmDkYKF

Last night I had the pleasure of facilitating a panel discussion with three amazing women from HamiltonJet for Women in Tech Christchurch. Talking about breaking barriers and building futures, our amazing panel Liz Mason Marilyn Lim and Jessica Logopati shared their experiences and insights and I just wish we had more time to dig deeper. I’m proud of my work with HamiltonJet and getting to share the amazing things they do with other women. I think the factory tour was also a highlight for many! Thank you Charlotte Hickling for bringing it all together. Women inspiring women is always a good idea! Ask others about their stories, don’t do it alone, we all love the feeling of helping others, let’s let it happen. #unlockingthepotentialinpeopleandorganisations #uppo #inspired #proud
