Here's the biggest mistake candidates make with their CV And no it's not the structure, or not forming the CV to the job description ----------- You're asking hiring managers to connect the dots ----------- But what dots are we talking about? Your experience Those bullet points you're writing about that work you've so busy been doing ----------- Its the worst descriptions and you're asking us to make a leap, here's a good example: - Collaborated with dev team to build web app What am i supposed to make of that? - What was the size of the dev team? - What role did you play in the team? - What features did you build in the web app? - What tech stack did you use in building this web app? - What results did you achieve? Did you improve speeds, user retention, duration? ----------- Write each bullet point with these questions in mind No you don't need to answer each question No you don't need to write a paragraph ----------- It's these little things, that really add up to make for a great CV

About My CV 1. Highlight Relevant Skills Mention key technical skills like React Native, JavaScript, Redux.js, Android Studio, and others listed in the job description. Include soft skills such as problem-solving, communication, and teamwork that align with the role. 2. Emphasize Professional Experience If you have freelance experience or projects, describe how they align with the responsibilities of the job (e.g., mobile application development, debugging, and API integration). Use metrics where possible: "Developed a React Native app that increased client engagement by 30%." 3. Showcase Education and Certifications List your Diploma in Computer Engineering and any additional certifications or training related to mobile development, React Native, or digital marketing. 4. Talk About Your Career Objective Explain how your career goals align with the company's mission. For example: "I am passionate about building user-friendly and impactful mobile solutions that drive business success." 5. Discuss Projects or Internships Highlight key projects, especially those related to mobile app development or React Native. Include outcomes like improved performance, client satisfaction, or successful implementation of features. 6. Tailor Your CV for Each Opportunity Emphasize the skills and experiences most relevant to the company and role. 7. Ask for Feedback If you're submitting the CV, ask the recruiter or hiring manager if there’s anything else they’d like to see or if they need clarification on any section.

🚀 My CV Tips for Developers 🚀 Creating a CV within a market which is very employer led will always be challenging. Going up against 100’s of applicants for the same job will always cause issues. I’ve listed below a couple of tips I think will help you with your job search.   🌟 Technical Skills: Don’t put every tech stack and skillset under the sun on your CV. Clearly list your core technical skills! And if you want, categorise them into Front-End, Back-End, Databases, and Tools & Platforms.   🌟 Showcase Projects: Highlight professional projects that demonstrate your commercial experience and skills. I would say (if possible) personalise them to what the company wants i.e if the company wants someone with MEAN stack experience. Note down a recent project where you used MEAN stack.   🌟 Job Titles: Make sure when creating a CV that you put your relevant job title from each position you’ve worked in. I’ve seen a lot of Developers put “Software Engineer” or “Front or Back End Engineer” when they have been a FullStack Developer/Engineer. By having software engineer or front/backend engineer you might not come up on a company/or recruiters CV search. And where first impressions count, even CVs. You want to minimise any chance that the company or recruiter will say no to your application.
