Whether starting from scratch or just pushing out another project, the inherent urge is to rush. Go faster. Get it out the door! The underlying urgency is not the problem - things in business should progress at a steady clip. Growth should be occurring. I think where the disconnect happens is that all of that growth needs to be tangible: more sales, more clients, more meetings, etc. I posit that growth can (and should) happen "behind the scenes" as well. Understanding how the next venture works or how your audience may see the new product is leaps and bounds easier to do beforehand than it is to course correct after the fact.
