"I was so productive today..." Meanwhile... Soon AI will be in every household. That's the end game for productivity. But there's a big challenge... 👇 Moving beyond next-word prediction to true reasoning. AI that thinks. 👀 The core problem? Most LLMs are impressive but fundamentally flawed. They predict what word comes next based on training data. This creates "salience" - amazing when it works, but prone to hallucination. How we're trying to solve it at Redcar.io" We built an AI Agent Platform that adds traditional engineering rigor on top of foundation models. The technical architecture: 1) Multi-source verification engine 2) Reasoning framework 3) Context management system 📌 Real world sales example for you: When qualifying B2B leads, our system: → Constructs company knowledge graphs → Validates data across multiple sources → Applies industry-specific reasoning → Self-monitors for accuracy → Auto-corrects when confidence is low ✨ The results? Our agents consistently outperform raw GPT-4 on specialized tasks. We're seeing significantly reduced hallucination rates. And most importantly - reliable, consistent output. 👋 P.S. We're hiring founding engineers! → Full Stack Engineer → Applied AI Engineer h/t Matt Tuck for this meme btw 😂

🚀 Exciting News in the World of Tech: Meet Devin - The World's First AI Software Engineer! 🚀 In an unprecedented leap forward for artificial intelligence, we're now witnessing the emergence of Devin, the first AI designed to function as a software engineer. Capable of writing, debugging, and deploying code, Devin is not just a tool but a game-changer in how we approach software development. What sets Devin apart? It's not just another large language model; Devin can autonomously create functioning websites and products, outperforming state-of-the-art models like GPT-4 and Gemini. With the ability to complete jobs on Upwork, ace interviews at top AI companies, and excel in coding benchmarks, Devin is redefining what AI can do in the tech industry. But how does it work? Devin begins with a user's prompt to build a website or software program, systematically planning and implementing the solution. Equipped with its own command line, code editor, and browser, Devin tackles each task with precision, even debugging its own code along the way. Early demos have shown Devin can build entire websites and simple games in minutes, showcasing not just speed but a level of autonomy and problem-solving ability that's truly remarkable. In a test, Devin was able to solve 13.86% of open issues on Github, which is significantly higher than the performance of other AI-powered assistants such as Anthropic's Claude (4.8%) and GPT-4(1.8%.) This innovation isn't just about the technical prowess of AI; it's about the potential to transform how we build, innovate, and think about technology. Devin represents a step into a future where AI partners in the creative and development processes, pushing the boundaries of what's possible. Let's discuss! What do you think the implications of AI like Devin could be for the future of software engineering and tech industries? Could this be the beginning of a new era in AI-assisted development? Over the past few months at Assembled, we've been exploring how Large Language Models (LLMs) can enhance our engineering workflows. One area where they've made a significant impact is in writing comprehensive tests. Traditionally, writing thorough tests can be time consuming and sometimes gets sidelined due to tight deadlines. By leveraging LLMs, we've been able to generate robust tests much more quickly—tasks that used to take hours now take just minutes. This shift has brought: - Increased adoption of testing: Engineers who previously wrote fewer tests are now consistently incorporating them into their workflow. - Time savings: We've collectively saved hundreds of hours, allowing us to focus more on developing new features and refining existing ones. - Enhanced code quality: Our codebase is better tested, giving us greater confidence in our deployments. I've shared more about our approach, including examples and lessons learned, in a recent blog post. 👉 Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gKw3djQu We're excited about the progress we're making and the insights we've gained. If you're interested in the intersection of LLMs and software engineering, or if you're passionate about building tools that transform customer support, I'd love to connect. P.S. We're hiring! Check out our open roles: https://lnkd.in/gSr_wqV7

Really well written article by the guys over at Patreon (thanks Saad Masood for helping the algorithm put this on my feed) on using semantic meaning to improve search results rather than keyword search. Should work well for creative outlets (Youtube, TikTok etc) in which words can take on different forms but refer to the same thing for example when searching for “cooking tips” and “knife skills” leads to the same creator regardless of which keyword was used
When Thomas Liu joined Patreon last year, one of the first projects he picked up on his own was improving the quality of creator search. This involved a rewrite of the entire system, which led to fans being able to better find their creators — and paying out creators millions more every year. 🎉 Thomas' two part series here (part two coming soon) captures his learnings on this — and is a great example how Patreon engineers can have real bottoms-up impact w/creators. Interested in helping fund the creative class? We are hiring! Check out https://lnkd.in/e9TVRVQx for open roles.

Very interesting take on (ab)using AI in customer services. AI can only take an *already good* company to great. Integrating AI in your core business imposes strict requirements on data management, IT readiness, and compliance, which is already more than enough work if your organisation isn't there yet. Top highlight for me: Customer support as a stopgap Rather than seeing support as a way to build the kind of relationship that ensures product and service renewals and increases the business footprint, many organizations see support as - A cost center - A way to make up for deficient — or inexistent — product documentation - A remedy for poorly designed user experience - A shield to protect product managers’ valuable time from “irrelevant” customer feedback - A catch-all for lousy and inaccessible institutional websites - An outlet for customers to vent
