A little over two weeks ago, sports fans lost their best hope for a consolidated and innovative user-first streaming product when Venu Sports died. The team was definitely cooking up something special with fresh takes on discovery and consumption features crafted for both new and tenured fans. It was a privilege to work with such a dedicated team. I'm particularly proud and impressed by innovative uses of AI content generation and summarization we found to help fans easily keep their finger on the pulse of their favorite teams and sports. Whether it was suggesting the perfect event regardless of streamer, catching users up on hot topics or convert long form to short form and landscape to vertical - I was looking forward to building (and using) the future of live sports I saw with the Venu team. While the Venu product won't launch, the team behind it is fired up and eager to bring their talents to solve hard user problems in innovative ways. Venu Sports Got Talent! The Venu Sports team has been building on the forefront of #AI #sports #streaming experiences, and now many are looking for their next gig. Cool stuff we worked on included point of interest tracking for realtime landscape to vertical video & LLM content summarization with highlights for people to catchup what they missed. We also built on a multi-staged, multi-tool sports chat agent using LangChain framework grounded in real time sports data, real time sports opinions & articles alongside highlights of all content on the service. We were active on qualitative assessment, optimization and other key pillars of large AI product rollout. This work was alongside many other pieces of an at scale OTT sports streaming platform in partnership with the amazing team at Fox. Basically the Venu team was killing it and it's very unfortunate we were not able to bring this product to market :( It has been an awesome journey and privilege to work with this world-class team!
