Today is the 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗿 🚢. My best wishes to all fellow seafarers . I want to talk about what every seafarer faces. 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗺𝘀 🌪! Facing storms in the high seas is routine. So how do we handle them. With great planning n dexterity. We use all tools at our disposal, from weather forecasting, Navigating towards safe seas, slowing down or speeding up. Every storm is unique. Diff how they behave in different hemispheres and varying vastly in intensity. It also depends on size of your ship . A small vessel can barely handle a Force 7, while huge container vessels steam through these with ease, as do 𝗟𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀 '𝗻' 𝗕𝘂𝗹𝗸 𝗩𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘀. Every 𝗢𝗰𝗲𝗮𝗻 & 𝗦𝗲𝗮 🌊 has its own uniquenesses but above all every mariner knows the force of nature cannot be underestimated or messed around with. There are situations where you just have to steam away from. Areas where waves are as high as 6 meters. While almost all good mariners get weather routing, in the end the captain of the ship decides what's best for his ship based on the immediate weather conditions. How does one handle Life, and its storms. Do you see them coming, do you plan for them, handle them, Navigate them. Are you big enough that small storms don’t ruffle you? 𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻, 𝗱𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽. One term common to both areas is "𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘". Be tough n resilient to handle whatever comes your way. Again.
