Tanka Fund’s Post

Solar-powered wells help provide water for Buffalo on remote Native American ranches. Some of our Buffalo caretakers live on ranches where accessible water sources are deep underground or miles away. For some, the only solution is a well pump system that runs on solar power. Quality systems can range from $3,000 to more than $10,000 each. The Buffalo need fresh water, and solar-powered wells can provide that without miles of electric lines. No donation is too small! Every dollar counts toward providing more fresh water for Buffalo herds. Any donations past our goal will be used to help other Tanka Fund rancher partners with their infrastructure needs.
