Solar-powered wells help provide water for Buffalo on remote Native American ranches. Some of our Buffalo caretakers live on ranches where accessible water sources are deep underground or miles away. For some, the only solution is a well pump system that runs on solar power. Quality systems can range from $3,000 to more than $10,000 each. The Buffalo need fresh water, and solar-powered wells can provide that without miles of electric lines. No donation is too small! Every dollar counts toward providing more fresh water for Buffalo herds. Any donations past our goal will be used to help other Tanka Fund rancher partners with their infrastructure needs. Please click the link in our bio and go to the Solar Well Campaign tab to help us support our Native ranchers! 🦬 #TankaFund #BuffaloConservation #SupportNativeRanchers #WildlifePreservation #ProtectTheBuffalo #SustainableRanching #NativeAmericanHeritage #EcoFriendlyFarming #BuffaloFencingProject #ConservationEfforts #WildlifeProtection #SupportIndigenousCommunities #BuffaloRestoration #DonateForACause #WildlifeSupport #CulturalPreservation #IndigenousLandManagement #HelpSaveTheBuffalo #BuffaloHeritage #SustainableAgriculture #LandsLivesEconomies #Buffalo #Bison #TheReturn #NativeAmerican #ClimateRestoration #CommunityEmpowerment #EnvironmentalSustainability #BuffaloRanching #TankaImpact

Since 2016, Firmrock Children Helper has supported vulnerable children in the Migwani region with education, clothing, and basic needs. Over the years, we’ve expanded to include farming, tree nurseries, counseling, and community development. However, during the COVID-19 pandemic, sustaining our children’s mission became a challenge due to a lack of donor funding. After much thought, we made the difficult decision to shift our focus. While we cherish the impact we made in children's lives, we are now directing our energy toward addressing agricultural and water challenges in dry regions like ours. Our new mission, Firmrock Agri-Water Initiative, focuses on sustainable farming and water solutions to empower our community in Migwani. We’ve already made significant progress, but to scale our efforts, we urgently need resources for farming activities. How You Can Help: - Partner with us in providing funds for farming tools, seeds, and irrigation solutions. - Donate to support water access projects for sustainable agriculture in dry areas. - Share this post to help us reach potential donors and collaborators. Despite not having a website yet, our past successes—including a fundraiser led by R.K. Brooks and other that provided school uniforms to over 30 children—show our dedication to making a difference. You can learn more about our work through LinkedIn or past activities. Together, we can build a resilient community through sustainable agriculture. #SupportAgriculture #WaterSolutions #CommunityDevelopment #Nonprofit #Firmrock

In Africa, climate-related disasters such as droughts and floods have more than doubled since the early 1990s, harming agricultural productivity and reducing access to food. People in rural communities rely heavily on agriculture, with their well-being closely tied to the natural environment. This means that the 12 million people in communities working with The Hunger Project are extremely vulnerable to weather events, reinforcing the importance of building resilience to climate change. To mitigate the effects of climate change on farmers we run Food Security and Agriculture training in rural communities to adopt climate-resilient, sustainable farming practices to enhance agricultural productivity. From 18th - 25th of April, every pound you donate through @BigGive will be matched. This means your donation will have twice the impact, offering twice the support to those who need it most. Making dialogue for animals is sooooo taxing. 🤣 Anywho, sometimes it’s not about showing off — it’s about knowing your place in nature. 🦬 Buffalo may not be flashy, but they hold the title of king of the plains. 🐴 Fun fact: they help shape the ecosystem by grazing, keeping the prairie healthy for everyone. Help us return Buffalo to Native lands by donating at tankafund.org/donate. 🦬 #TankaFund #BuffaloConservation #SupportNativeRanchers #WildlifePreservation #ProtectTheBuffalo #SustainableRanching #NativeAmericanHeritage #EcoFriendlyFarming #BuffaloFencingProject #ConservationEfforts #WildlifeProtection #SupportIndigenousCommunities #BuffaloRestoration #DonateForACause #WildlifeSupport #CulturalPreservation #IndigenousLandManagement #HelpSaveTheBuffalo #BuffaloHeritage #SustainableAgriculture #LandsLivesEconomies #Buffalo #Bison #TheReturn #NativeAmerican #ClimateRestoration #CommunityEmpowerment #EnvironmentalSustainability #BuffaloRanching #TankaImpact

Improve access to water not only improves health but frees huge amounts of time and then increases farming productivity moving from subsistence to producing excess for benefit of many Sanddams are still in my long life the best projects I have experienced
"The nutrition level in our household has improved dramatically... Before this project, we had no understanding of how to use the land effectively or manage water resources efficiently. Now, we not only have access to clean water, but we are also more productive in farming." Read Daniel's full story, and find out how you can have your donations DOUBLED towards our 2024 Big Give sand dam campaign for dryland communities in Ethiopia here: https://lnkd.in/e8wp4NUS #GiveADam #WaterFromSand #RestoreRebuildRegreen

As we continue our work in the Bahamas and in other areas impacted by crisis- we are looking to restore mangroves. How do they connect to our work increasing food security- well- mangroves are amazing:) without them so many species of marine life struggle to find safe spawning habitats. (Let alone the fact that they are carbon sequestering powerhouses and help build land mass). In coastal communities where fishing is one of the main industries and source of food- mangroves play a vital role. #bahamas #mangrove #sustainability #fishing #foodsecurity #blueatlas
How can you make a difference this Earth Day? It's simple – by supporting mangroves restoration efforts through your donations. Your contribution can help fund restoration projects, planting mangrove seedlings, and protecting existing mangrove forests from deforestation and degradation. #blueatlasproject #earthday #donate #helpingothers #fyp #uganda #disasterrelief
