But running your A/C for 5 minutes once a month during the winter could save thousands in repair costs when you do need your A/C the most. Running your A/C for 5 minutes ensures the seals and gaskets stay lubricated and do not dry out. A/C repairs are among the most expensive repairs your vehicle can incur. An EVAC and recharge can cost $700 or more and a new compressor or condenser can easily add another $1000 to $1500 to the bill. If your vehicle shows signs of vibrations or feels like it is pulling to the side call your recovery provider as more extensive damage can be caused by continuing to drive. ✅Record your direction of travel and exact location. ✅If safe to do so take several photographs from different distances.
