On this penultimate day of '12 Stress-less Days to Christmas' there's a focus on the outdoors. It's about fresh air, and time out. It's about a few deep breaths and centring ourselves. It's about being present in our surroundings. It's easier to do this as a matter of routine if you have a dog or go for regular walks. Here are a few ideas if you don't have a dog! 🌱 Have a wander around the garden; I've seen some new shoots already emerging from the soil. What do you notice? 😊 Go for a walk around the block; smile and say hello or share Christmas greetings with people you pass on the way 😑 👂 Open the window, pop your head outside and taking a few deep breaths. Also close your eyes and listen. Take note of what you hear. What about smells? What will you do?

🔻🔻Not the kind of Christmas I imagined, but it came with a great lesson. Wow! Less than 7 days to a new year... Compliment of the season everyone. My Christmas morning started with me waking up early to run an errand for a friend and boom! I found myself at the market by 7 a.m. Guess what! The scene was bustling with hardworking people—vendors, buyers, and everyone in between, all moving with purpose. Now, guess who spent five hours hunting for a simple male suit? Yep, me. When the first market didn’t deliver, as I couldn't get the colours I wanted, I ventured to a larger one, only to be met with an even bigger crowd. The sellers were so full of energy and passion as they marketed their goods. I couldn’t help but admire their drive, even as I dodged the amusing “toasters” who tried to win me over with lines like, “My colour!” "Model!" Nice try, guys—but I’m not buying what you’re selling😂. Yet as I navigated the chaos, I found myself reflecting on something deeper: the sheer grit and resilience of the people in this part of the world (I call it the Nigerian super hustle spirit). In a season meant to celebrate Christ’s birth and the profound significance of His love and sacrifice, these moments reminded me of how often joy and hard work coexist in unexpected places. Christmas isn’t just about the perfect plans or ideal moments—it’s about appreciating the lessons and connections we find along the way. Today taught me to see grace in the hustle and gratitude in the simplest exchanges. This was not how I planned my Christmas, but then the lessons learnt are profound. Once again!
