🎨 The Many Hats of a Graphic Designer – Where Do We Draw the Line? Dear Hiring Managers, Have you noticed how “Graphic Designer” job posts often ask for skills beyond just design? Requirements like video editing, CSS, HTML, motion graphics, print design, copywriting, and more seem to have become the norm. While versatility is important, expecting one person to master such diverse skills can take away from the true creativity and focus required for great design work. A graphic designer’s main strengths are: ✅ Creating visually stunning designs. ✅ Producing eye-catching motion graphics and animations. ✅ Crafting impactful print and digital materials. ✅ Strengthening brand identity with thoughtful design. These abilities take time, effort, and passion to develop. Adding unrelated tasks like coding or copywriting to the mix can overwhelm the designer and hurt the quality of the work. By clearly defining roles and valuing specialization, you’re more likely to find the right person for the job and see better results. Let’s celebrate the art of design and let designers focus on what they do best! Please let me know what your thoughts are. Let’s start a conversation. #GraphicDesign #MotionGraphics #Hiring #CreativeTeams #DesignMatters

What's the outcome of hiring a graphic designer? What happens when you don't make an effort on your design? 1. Communication without illustrations can be dull. If you can't capture your clients' attention, how can you expect to make sales? --- 2. Creating good design isn't difficult, but it requires professional training and experience. It takes time and engagement to transform a message into a visual story. Design needs emotional investment; people are sensitive to automation. If you serve your clients the same content every day, why wouldn't they seek variety? --- 3. The way you visually present your company influences how your clients perceive your company's personality. Customers seek confirmation before making a purchase. They want to ensure they're making the right choice. How can they tell if they're in the right place? The first impression comes from the visual elements - your design. --- 4. If you want to succeed in social media marketing, be aware that algorithms favor human design and filter out robotic and AI content. #freelancing #graphicdesigner #socialmedia #illustrator #business #designer #marketing #ads

A designer you didn’t know you needed ✨ Graphic designer, illustrator, web designer, motion designer... I’m sure you’ve heard about these professions. But who is a marketing designer? How does he differ from a graphic designer and why do IT companies rarely look for such specialists? Today I will help to understand these issues. 🤔 So who is a marketing designer? A marketing designer is a unique blend of skills, combining the expertise of a web designer and a graphic designer (who develops a company’s brand, and creates visual content like logos & brochures). So they are responsible for creating the visual elements that support a company’s marketing efforts, such as banners for blog and social media, branding materials, presentations, email newsletters, and promotional collateral. 🤝🏻 What sets the marketing designer apart is their deep understanding of the target audience and their ability to align the visual content with the company’s marketing strategy. They work closely with the marketing team to analyze market trends, identify the needs of the target audience, and develop visually compelling assets that effectively communicate the brand’s message and drive conversions. 📢 The importance of marketing designers cannot be overstated, as they play a crucial role in bridging the gap between creativity and strategy. But why do we so rarely see job offers for such specialists? It should be remembered that each company, depending on the type of activity, has its own unique requirements for designers, some companies need one web designer who completely covers all design tasks, and some hire a separate specialist for certain types of tasks. ❤️ Recognizing the importance of marketing designers is crucial as they ensure that visual content not only looks good but also performs well. Their unique skill set drives the success of marketing campaigns and, ultimately, business growth. 🔗 Let’s give a shoutout to all the marketing designers out there! Your work is vital and deserves the spotlight. If you’re a marketing designer, share your experiences in the comments. How do you see your role evolving in the industry? #MarketingDesign #GraphicDesign #CreativeProfession #MarketingStrategy #VisualCommunication #DigitalMarketing #Design #Marketing #readdleteam

GRAPHIC DESIGNING Graphic design is the art of creating visual content to communicate messages to an audience. It involves using color, design, and imagery to create logos, advertisements, and other marketing materials that capture the essence of a brand and resonate with audiences. Graphic designers are skilled in understanding a business's essence and translating it into visual elements that capture the brand's story. They are adept at transforming ideas and concepts into engaging visuals that resonate with audiences, and their role goes beyond being the bridge between creativity and communication. Graphic designers are important to an organization's message and/or brand because the content they create may be the first time an intended audience notices a company. Graphic designers work in various industries, including marketing, advertising, software development, film and television, journalism, and publishing. They use tools like Adobe Illustrator, Sketch, and Canva to create designs and work closely with clients or art directors to determine project scope and conceptualize designs. Graphic design is a promising field worth exploring for those interested in pursuing a creative career. #snsinstitutions #snsdesignthinkers #snsdesignthinking

I'm appalled. Absolutely appalled. Day before yesterday, I put out a post saying I was looking for a full time, junior to mid-level designer. Someone who has at least 2 years of work ex. There was a link to a form that you had to fill, in order to apply. Sounds easy enough, right? Ummm, not quite. I received 35 applications. Out of which 12 only knew how to 'design' on Canva. Someone even had this written on the front page of their portfolio - 'Proudly a Canva designer'. Wtf is a Canva designer? Is that a thing today? Okay, moving on. About 5-6 of them didn't have a portfolio. 22 of them were applying for the wrong job. They were UI designers applying for a role that would require them to work on print ads, hoardings, social media templates, some bit of packaging. Okay, now the fun part. I shortlisted 6 out of 35. Sent them a small design test on email. One person wrote back saying they'd need longer. The rest said nothing. So I waited. And waited. And waited. 24 hours went by. And unable to wait any longer, I called them one by one. Asking them if they've seen their email. They hadn't. As a result of which, they had no idea they were shortlisted. And obviously couldn't finish the test within the deadline. Out of 6 that got shortlisted, 2 sent in their tests. One within the deadline. One 10 hours post deadline. 2. Is this how seriously people take jobs nowadays? Don't people give a flying fuck anymore? I mean, why bother even applying, if you're not going to be checking your email? Anyway, left designer-less, but ever hopeful, I am trying this ONE last time. Here's a link. If you're a designer with at least 2 years of real experience, and you check your email, please consider applying. https://lnkd.in/gYEi2GTS (edit) Someone JUST applied after seeing this post. FANTASTIC designer. Makes 23 lacs a year. And even though the google form very explicitly said what my fee range is, she still chose to apply. (She hadn't read the JD, it seems). Sigh. #recruitment #designerwanted #urgent #advertising #marketing #ethics

‼️ Hiring Managers: Understanding the Role of a Graphic Designer If you’re looking for a Graphic Designer, it’s important to know what this role really involves. Here’s what a Graphic Designer does NOT do: 🚫 Social Media Management: While they can create stunning visuals, managing posts, engagement, and strategy isn’t their expertise. 🚫 Copywriting: Designers bring your message to life visually, but writing the actual message is the job of a copywriter. 🚫 Marketing Strategy: They execute creative ideas, but the overall strategy comes from your marketing team. 🚫 Web Development: Designing a beautiful website layout? Yes. Coding it? No. Expecting a Graphic Designer to juggle unrelated tasks is like asking a painter to also build the house. A Graphic Designer’s role is all about: ✅ Creating visuals that communicate your brand’s message. ✅ Designing assets that resonate with your audience. ✅ Bringing creative ideas to life in a way that’s both beautiful and functional. Overloading them with tasks outside their role dilutes their ability to do what they do best: make your brand look amazing. 🛐Let’s respect the craft: Great design takes time, focus, and creativity. Hiring a dedicated Graphic Designer means trusting them to elevate your brand’s visual identity. Start with a clear job description, and you’ll find the right designer who can take your brand to the next level!🔝 #GraphicDesign #CreativeRoles #HiringTips #DesignMatters #RespectTheCraft
