Synchronization of our #ZONOS Head-End System (HES) with multiple meter manufacturers involves ensuring interoperability and seamless data exchange between our #HES and a diverse range of smart meters from different vendors. This process requires our HES to support multiple communication protocols, data formats, and standards, allowing it to collect, normalize, and integrate meter readings, events, and status information from various meter types, while also ensuring that commands and updates sent from our HES are compatible with each manufacturer's specific requirements, thus maintaining a cohesive and efficient smart metering network - like a unified team moving forward together in the dragon boat.

The end of the year is always a special time at Svitzer Americas, and this year’s Awards Night was no exception. It’s a moment to reflect, celebrate, and honor the teams that have gone above and beyond. Choosing the Technical Country of the Year was particularly challenging. In the maritime industry, the Technical Function operates in one of the most high-pressure environments—constantly managing crises, controlling budgets, ensuring the safety of our crew, assets, and the environment, all while maintaining vessel reliability. For me, technical excellence isn’t measured by the absence of breakdowns or failures—those are inevitable in our line of work. What defines exceptional technical management is how we learn from incidents, how we respond with urgency, and how we turn setbacks into opportunities to improve. This year, we’re proud to award Technical Country of the Year to the Statia Team! 🌟 They faced numerous challenges but demonstrated unwavering commitment to upholding Svitzer’s high standards across all their vessels.
