Short term rentals all have basic criteria to help ensure cash flow and overall success. I wanted to share some of these criteria for Turks and Caicos, specifically for those looking to invest in paradise. Proximity to the beach - doesn’t need to be ON the beach, but anything in <5 min drive will perform well. Walkability - TCI is not a very walkable place, so it’s not critical to have all amenities within walking distance, but the more the better. We recommend everyone visiting Turks and Caicos to rent a car. Condos vs. Villas - there is a balanced demographic of those looking for privacy in villas and those who want a secure feeling of others around and more shared amenities in condo complexes. These are the most important considerations when looking to buy a short term investment property in Turks and Caicos. Knowing your target customer is also critical in determining the type of property and location.
