Long before I joined embecta here in UK&I, every Monday at 3pm is our Team Meeting. This slide has always been and will always be how we start that meeting. We then ask each other who in our team has displayed one or more of our values and we celebrate it. Being value-led is about putting values front and centre of how you start conversations, doing it consistently and with purpose. Another inspiring Slush 2024 but also returned with some food for thought. 🔍 The energy and innovation showcased were undeniable, yet I noticed a slight shift—a move from grassroots discovery, to a more structured, corporate-driven atmosphere where the emphasis seems to be on larger, well-established players and streamlined deal-making processes. Question: Are we losing the magic of raw, untapped ideas in favor of industrialized deal-making? 🤔 But hey, this is just from my POV. Still, the event highlights why entrepreneurship is still vital: tackling challenges and shaping of a, fingers crossed, better future. Slush remains a hub for meaningful professional connections with bold ambitions, a place to meet great friends and make new acquaintances. 🙏🏽
What an amazing time at Slush 2024! ✨ The energy was electric, and the setup was top-notch. It was incredible to see the mass amount of visionaries, founders, and investors come together, exchanging ideas that could genuinely shape the future. Fingers crossed! There is no I in team, even though I am in all of these teams 🤣 As I celebrate my 10th anniversary at Suribet N.V. and all we have accomplished as an organization I have to rush and say that WE DID IT together. It was all a joint effort. I have worked with many different teams here and learned a lot from each of my team members. The teams consist of men and women in different age ranges, with different nationalities but also people from diverse ethnical backgrounds. From market research to understanding your customer better a diverse team is a pool of creativity, innovation and succes...and fun. Fun because we celebrate all of the different holidays together. With employing people as young as 21 I believe Suribet N.V. has some of the youngest managers in senior positions something I absolutely LOVE. I remember being told in another company that I have previously worked for that while I have all of the skills I would only grow in the company after the age of 35 as they believe that wisdom comes with age. Glad I didn't stick around there to find out 🤣 . So cheers to 10 years of TEAMWORK! - Coach your team so they know what to do - Mentor your team so they keep growing - Hear your team so they feel heard - Hold your team accountable so they feel responsible - Do not I repeat do not micromanage ! 🙄 #Suribet #TeamworkMakesTheDreamWork #Diversity
