I’ve only officially submitted my resume for a job once: right after college. Every job since then has come through a referral or connection. That’s not to say I was handed anything—far from it. But someone always opened a door. Sometimes, I wonder how things might have been different if I didn’t have those connections. The truth is, I didn’t always feel “ready” for the opportunities I pursued. I wasn’t the perfect candidate. But someone believed in me enough to make an introduction, or to say, “You should talk to Taylor.” Not every opportunity worked out, and not every one was the right fit. But those connections were pivotal. They taught me the value of relationships—not in a transactional way, but in the way that comes from truly showing up for people and allowing them to show up for you. Networking isn’t about shaking hands or collecting business cards. It’s about building trust, being authentic, and staying curious about the people around you. Looking back, those connections shaped my path in ways I couldn’t have imagined. And I’m grateful for every single one of them. How about you? Have connections played a role in your career journey? #Relationships #CareerGrowth #Networking

3wNetworking is sales, sales is networking. People that can’t or won’t network rarely succeed in the business world. The only job I ever applied for formally after/during school was my internship. People that think working hard by itself will instantly lead to job opportunities will get left behind. Who you know > what you know.
