This medium density development has a number of challenging aspects, including the installation of water meter assemblies between the internal and external watermains. We are working on a number of projects at the moment including a really interesting development of 9 new houses in South London. What’s particularly pleasing is the enthusiasm we’ve had from the client about the system we’ve proposed for the upper floors. As Posi joists are going in, we suggested the team look at our BauFloor 2 system which has dual functionality of forming both a structural deck and UFH system in one. The product's main advantage is that it is designed to work with lower flow temps (GSHP, ASHP) as the two panels encapsulate the pipework, meaning it is far quicker to install, less materials/waste and it significantly reduces the associated labour and materials costs. This is simply because you’re not doubling up on a separate install for the structural floor deck and then a separate installation of the UFH system.
