Safety is our number one priority when working on any site. For surveyors, work environments range from simple, flat areas to challenging sites with deep and complex assets. Surveyors Simon and Josh attended a working-at-heights safety training session with Pinnacle Safety and Training. This training helped them learn how to work safely at elevated heights and how to assess and manage this risk should it arise on a site. This is one of many essential training courses that Taylors provides for all field employees, along with confined space entry, first aid, and construction white card training, among others. Thank you to Pinnacle for an insightful training day and to our HSEQ team for keeping safety at the forefront of everything we do! #HealthandSafety #Survey #Surveying #Training #HSEQ

Very useful video for safety professionals 🦺 Always follow the Safety while working on Scaffold/Working at Height Ensuring scaffolding safety is crucial for protecting workers and maintaining a secure work environment 🏗️. Always start with a thorough inspection 🔍 to confirm the scaffolding is in good condition and correctly assembled. Utilize guardrails 🚧 to prevent falls, and stabilize the base 🧩 with plates or mud sills. Adhere to weight limits ⚖️ to avoid overloading, and distribute loads evenly. Wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) 🦺, such as hard hats and harnesses, is essential. Lastly, comprehensive training 📚 for all workers on scaffold safety procedures can significantly reduce the risk of accidents. Stay safe and vigilant on the job! 💪 #safetycourses #safetyofficer #hseprofessionals #hsetraining #hse #hsejobs #safetytraining #safetyjobs #experttrainersacademy

Where do you start on your first week hired as a safety advisor? Paperwork! - Review the company safety manual, ear mark anything that needs to be updated. Review incident/accident reports and near misses going back at least 3 years. Look for trends. Create a spreadsheet for statistics. Read the past year of safety meetings minutes. Check if they track corrective actions, are they effective? Learn who is out on site and in the yard, what they do and how they do it. Ask to do a ride along to some job sites. Then I like to start with emergency procedures and first aid procedures. Are they up to date? Is the information posted as required? When was the last time a drill was conducted? Have the fire extinguishers been inspected? Great places to start if you're new to a company.

Safety is paramount in all operations. Adequate training in techniques, safety protocols, and emergency responses is crucial to ensure that staff are equipped to manage any scenario, thereby reducing the likelihood of accidents and injuries. Safety training should encompass emergency protocols, preventive measures, firefighting, first aid, and rescue operations. It is essential for personnel to be prepared to respond promptly and competently in case of emergencies. 💪

I am a HSE Professional, not just as a job that I get paid for (that's part of it though😀), but more as a passion, I love what I do sincerely. Seeing people come to work each day and going back home safely each day through out the period of the project is fulfilling. One way to ensure that is engaging workers in tool box talks, teaching them but most importantly getting to hear from them and ensuring lose gaps are covered during these sessions. And in construction safety, you just have to be passionate about it and have the required knowledge to keep people safe. On-the-job training (OJT) in health and safety is a method where employees learn safety practices and procedures while working in their actual job environment. For example, a new worker might learn how to properly use protective gear, handle hazardous materials, or follow emergency procedures by observing and practicing under the supervision of a more experienced colleague. This type of training ensures that employees understand and can apply safety measures directly in the context of their daily tasks, helping to prevent accidents and promote a safer workplace. #safety #safety_first #safety_culture #HSE #QHSE
