Why Members Of Other Associations Need Our Remarkable Team… The #association space is crowded. There are many associations a business leader can choose from when they are looking for ways to enhance the performance of their business. When you look closely, however, each association tends to have a different focus. For example some associations place a priority on business #advocacy. Others focus on member networking events. And many put community engagement on the top of their list. This mosaic of attention creates opportunities for associations to partner with one another for the benefit of their individual members. Recently Board members Ian Tait and Roy Osing of The Business Association Inspired In North Delta, Canada participated in a meeting with Ladner Business Association members. Their pitch: Ladner Members should also join The Business Association Team and get tools and services they don’t get with their current membership. It’s all about serving the needs of members, and if you must suggest to your members that they should join another association because it will benefit their business, then DO IT! Listen in… https://buff.ly/3Vu3AG6 #TheBusinessAssociation #leadership

🌟 Shining a Light on the American South’s Untapped Change-Makers 🌟 Marc Carr MBA reflects on a recent tour of the American South, it’s clear that we’re only scratching the surface of the immense change-making talent that exists within these communities. From Clarksdale, Mississippi—known as the home of the blues but rich with community redevelopment efforts—to bustling Charlotte, I witnessed powerful initiatives led by local leaders deeply rooted in the challenges their communities face. These “proximate leaders” are the very people driving innovative solutions, reclaiming their communities, and demonstrating a unique, authentic approach to impact that only those close to the issues can bring. This journey reinforced the importance of being on the ground, not just looking at data from afar. Foundations have a crucial role in supporting these local changemakers by truly understanding community needs, which often means taking the time to tour, listen, and learn firsthand. Supporting these leaders—who are overlooked far too often—can help catalyze sustainable, locally driven change. If foundations, investors, and advocates continue to focus on proximate leadership, we can uplift these communities and the often-overlooked positive stories that exist alongside the challenges. Let’s recognize and champion the impactful work happening in the South and beyond. #CommunityCapital #ProximateLeadership #SouthernChangeMakers #ImpactInvestment #CommunityDevelopment #UntappedTalent #FoundationsForChange #InvestInTheSouth #ClarksdaleMississippi #Charlotte

This month, we are working with a national association to create their strategic direction and priorities. We’ve worked with them to launch a Statice-designed survey of their membership and key opinion leaders, prepare high-level observations and will facilitate an in-person meeting of their Board of Directors. Our partnership will be an opportunity for this organization to . . ✔️ Align with the benefits and priorities their membership values. ✔️ Strengthen them as an organization. ✔️ Align their strategic plan with their budget and resources. ✔️ Create a detailed list of next steps to take this organization to the next level. The Bottom Line: Identifying the issues that are important to your members and developing related programs and policies are key components of any membership association. #ExecutiveCoach #Associations #Membership

Procurement Leaders and Dei Leaders Have the Opportunity to Align for Greater Business Impact. What a great keynote by PETER HURST at the Diversity in Higher Education Symposium. He provided a wealth of data that connected the dots between minority business development, the wealth gap, and the impact on the broader economy. One of the key takeaways was MBE to MBE Commerce. Supplier diversity isn’t just about networking—it’s about economic empowerment and building resilience. When minority-owned businesses intentionally collaborate, we’re circulating dollars within our communities, driving growth, and creating opportunities that extend beyond a single transaction. This isn’t charity; it’s smart business. MBE to MBE commerce strengthens supply chains, diversifies markets, and fosters innovation. In an economy where agility and authenticity matter more than ever, these partnerships keep businesses competitive and responsive. #DEI #supplierdiversity #leadership
