From Cognizant → To cracking a top product company! ⭐ Life had different plans for me, I guess! So, since my college days, I dreamt of working for a product company. And during the last year of my college, although from a Mechanical Engineering background, my interest changed to Software Engineering. Despite, the fact that I cracked Cognizant as a Program Analyst, I decided to drop a year, to chase my dream. When I started my prep journey, I had 0 Coding knowledge, and for more than half a year, I spent on learning skills. → Obviously, I took time, since, I had no Guidance or Mentorship. → Had to figure out the whole study plan by myself. → Prepared rigorously DSA, CS Fundamentals, Web Development, etc. And after 10 months of hard-core preparation, I finally got a chance to interview at Zoho. Obviously, I was nervous to my core, multiple thoughts came in my mind. But once you’re sitting in that Interview Room → every thought goes numb. And you try to give your best in that Interview- I did it, I put my all in those interviews. Thanks to my Dedication and determination I soon cracked all the rounds, and finally got the offer letter. 🎉 However, I know most working professionals don’t have the luxury of time, and they end-up giving up on their dream. For me, career in tech isn’t luck by chance 🔥 Mechanical graduate to making to the first company, Cognizant. YES, a service based org… (as Program Analyst) That’s how things started for me. But I didn’t go for it and dropped it instead, just because I had a DREAM. Dream of working with a Product Tech Giant! 🚀 Now, since, I didn’t take up the job offer, I had no job for almost 10 months, what I had was TIME. I know it’s a very hard step, I took. It was during this phase, I made my mind becoming a Software Engineer, and it inspired me. 1. Started with web dev basics (html, css, js) 2. Worked on building high-quality projects 3. Learnt Java, improved problem solving with DSA, CS fundamentals Given the fact, I was introduced very late to Leetcode. Even though I was LATE—I had to continue my upskilling, with countless hours of late night studies. “Better late than never!” And eventually, when I started to interview for companies, I cracked Zoho, and other big tech Unicorns like BrowserStack and ObserveAI Thanks to my hard work and consistency. Even though the journey was a slow one, it was all worth it ✨ Now, many working professionals want to achieve their dream company, but due to lack of time - They tend to give up halfway or become inconsistent. Hackathon - hardly anyone turned out for it today. You can see empty seats and no people. I’m writing this with a very heavy heart, but thanks to God for giving me this thought. Even with just 2 years if IT experience, I was blessed at Cognizant in 2009 to train 100+ employees with Micro strategy BI and got awarded as the best trainer by Cognizant India. Everything has a reason. We at YourGrace will be hiring people who are jobless, who are working at McDonalds, Walmart etc for 16 hours a day just to make ends meet paycheck to paycheck. We will be hiring those people. We will HIRE YOU even if you DO NOT HAVE any degree or educational qualification. We will hire you even if you have no schooling. 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝘀𝘆𝘀 → 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗴𝗹𝗲 Was it hard? – YES Was it Impossible? – NO So, recently a mentee of mine cracked his dream company Google, while working full-time at Infosys! And trust me when I say this → The whole journey was not an easy one for him. As he had to face challenges, but Kudos to his spirit, that he didn’t stop working for his dream at all. He was a complete Noob in Coding when he started his first job at Infosys, and thought he would eventually become better. But the projects he got there didn’t help him at all to build his skills. So, 6 months into the job, he started to upskill. His only mistake was he never took his interest in Coding seriously. It was only in his job he realized this. ✅ So, decided to prepare, and obviously in the process, he had to face multiple rejections too. But clearly with every rejection his efforts doubled. And I feel this thing plays an important role. 🙌 I’ve seen multiple working professionals giving up mid-way because they’re afraid to take the big leap. They fear that they might get rejected. But believe me, REJECTIONS are good. Stop getting afraid of the vastness of DSA, System Design, etc. Just be CONSISTENT and you’ll see results. Give 100% to your preparation. Keep your target small and basic and then move to Advanced level. And even after doing all these things you still find it hard to upskill, I’d suggest seeking outside help from industry experts at Bosscoder Academy.
