Technology Bridge Netherlands’ Post

Exploring the Semiconductor Ecosystem at NovioTech Campus! (Destination-2) As part of TEGRA IC’s Netherlands semiconductor ecosystem tour, we visited the Noviotech Campus, a vibrant hub for Health and High Tech innovation in Nijmegen. We were warmly welcomed by Wald Been and Marlou Peet-de Bruin, whose exceptional planning and hospitality ensured a seamless and productive visit. During the afternoon, we engaged in insightful discussions with Ampleon and Neways Electronics International NV, two globally renowned semiconductor companies. These meetings provided valuable insights into the thriving ecosystem and potential collaboration opportunities. Additionally, we secured an appointment with NXP Semiconductors for the following day. NovioTech Campus stands out with its strong presence in the semiconductor industry. The campus offers state-of-the-art facilities, including advanced laboratories, cleanrooms, shared amenities, and modern office spaces. It is home to three world-class chip companies—NXP, Ampleon, and Nexperia—and houses Europe’s largest semiconductor production plant. Impressively, all newly manufactured cars globally contain chips from Nijmegen, and 30% of worldwide phone calls rely on radio frequency technology developed on-site. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Wald Been and Marlou Peet-de Bruin from the campus administration for their incredible support, and to Gerrald Korenromp from Oost NL for highlighting exciting opportunities, as well as guiding and accompanying us throughout the day.
