The synergy between AI and blockchain has been hyped for quite some time, but true innovation takes time to mature. I was quite surprised to see that Layer 2 (L2) solutions aimed at scaling Ethereum and other Layer 1 (L1) blockchains, which were conceptualized 7-8 years ago, are still under development and not yet ready for commercial use. Recently, I conducted a brief study on how blockchain and AI can collaborate and enhance each other, and I found only a few solutions addressing very basic use cases. However, both technologies have been advancing rapidly, and now is the perfect time to start building end-user solutions on top of them. The potential of #GenAI and #LLMs is massive, but one of the major impediments for its adoption is data hallucination. This is true for both #PublicLLMs and #PrivateLLMs. In this report we at #PwC have explored why hallucination occurs and what remedial steps once can take to avoid it. By adding a #blockchain layer, we can prove data provenance and enable data democratization. Covergence of #EmergingTech such as #GenAI and #blockchain can also help in creating the ideal #ResponsibleAI everyone strives for. Had a wonderful experience in the "How to Blockchain" Workshop by our college's very own Blockchain Society, Genesis SRMIST. Main topics I learnt today: 1. What is a blockchain and what its practical uses are. 2. Introduction to Smart Contracts, dApps, and Web3 3. How to make a voting system using Smart Contract via Ink Sepolia. Our speakers Adithyah Nair and Gokuleshwaran Narayanan gave us a deep dive into the world of Blockchain technology and how it has a promising future in various fields like healthcare, digital identity and also guided us to build our very own smart contract — a voting system! And finally there was a small competition to build a smart contract, by finding and using Polygon Amoy, and creating a contract to add 2 user input numbers, along with finding the contract address and the ABI. It was really fun, and I felt the rush to compete to finish it the fastest. I'd like to thank Genesis SRMIST for this wonderful session.
