Operation Clean Sweep – TCL Hunt TCL Hunt is proud to announce that it has completed the audit requirements for certification to the internationally recognised Operation Clean Sweep. We undertook a programme of installing fine mesh filters into the external stormwater drain catchments within our premises. In addition a monthly check and cleaning schedule has been established to ensure that these filters remain in optimal working order and will serve the purpose they were designed for. TCL Hunt was asked to participate in the development of a series of short videos aimed at promoting OCS within the Plastics Industry of New Zealand. Through our involvement, a positive spin-off is a clearer understanding from our staff of the importance of preventing contamination of water-ways. Plastics New Zealand will use these videos as an education tool for all of its members and the wider community. Environmental concerns are very much in line with our ISO14001 certification and the core principles of Ravago as stated in their sustainability pledge. We will endeavour to build on this achievement with additional initiatives to minimise our impact on the environment. Great Stuff, fantastic to see another key Plastics industry player helping to take back control of our Narrative. Plastics belong in Product and recycling streams not waterways and oceans.
