I like this analogy- “No one would sue you because you went to the library to look up information in the textbooks,he said — using generative AI is similar.” 💯% agree with this “use [generative AI] a lot so you understand its strengths and shortcomings. If you wait until things settle, you’ll be further behind.”

This will be a difficult issue to handle. The plaintiff bar is far more cunning and inventive than the defense bar. Physicians must consider making a diagnosis conventionally and with AI tools. Guarantee using just one method will result in a claim of deviation from standard. Definitely documentation, but what are you documenting. Imagine with AI, the interpolation of diagnoses and treatment. Get me to a jury is all that is necessary.
