How often do you say 'yes' when every part of you wants to scream 'no'? I used to say 'yes' all the time. I thought it made me helpful, strong, and dependable. But over time, I realized that every 'yes' I forced out of myself drained a piece of my energy and well-being. Here’s the thing: saying 'no' isn’t selfish—it’s an act of self-love. It's a way to set boundaries that protect your time, energy, and mental health. And yet, most of us struggle with it. Why? Because many of us were taught as children that saying 'no' is rude, unkind, or unacceptable. When you heal your inner child, you start to realize that your needs matter. You learn that it's okay to say 'no' without feeling guilty. In fact, every 'no' you say to something that drains you is a 'yes' to something that fulfills you. 🛑 So, let me ask you this: What’s one thing you need to say 'no' to today, for the sake of your well-being? 💬 Share your thoughts: Have you found power in saying 'no'? Let’s talk about what it means to practice self-love. #SelfLove #InnerChildHealing #SettingBoundaries #PersonalGrowth #MentalWellness #HealthyHabits #LifeCoach #InnerChildHealer #InnerChildCoach

In the journey towards self-improvement, remember that mental health and learning disabilities are not barriers, but rather facets of our unique identities. Embrace your challenges with courage and resilience, for they do not define your worth or potential. Each obstacle you overcome is a testament to your strength and determination. Remember to be kind to yourself, practicing self-compassion and patience along the way. Seek support when needed, for there is no shame in asking for help. Embrace your journey with an open heart and a steadfast mind, for it is through adversity that we grow and flourish. You are capable, you are worthy, and you are enough. Keep striving, keep learning, and keep shining bright. #Careforall #EmpathyInAction #compassionatecare #supportiveservices

June Professional Interactions ! I had the opportunity to speak at the Boys Breakfast Club Meet. A group of Men who came together under the theme ‘A MAN AND HIS MIND’. I quickly learnt that while I was to share with them on #mensmentalhealthstruggles and discuss #copingstrategies, I was also there to stir up conversation. I started the conversation with two questions; - 📌What was your fondest childhood memory ? 📌What was your worst childhood memory ? I asked about their childhood, because to understand the present #behaviouralpatterns - it is important to make sense of #childhoodtraumas if any. I held the opinion just like many of you that #men don’t want to talk about their challenges -that #vulnerability is a strange language to them. I however came to the realization that given a #safespace they can learn to share bits and pieces of what their troubles are. I also learnt that society has made #hypermasculinity their way of life, Not asking for help, always #maningup instead of #speakingup. I leant that they only want to share their issues with people who might have practical solutions. I learnt that to manage their #stressors they use avoidance, and resort to passion projects like;- investing in a farm, or a building project or sports. But most importantly I learnt that, the quality of Men’s Mental Health is largely impacted by the quality of their relationships as much as their financial standing. #mensmentalhealth #amanandhismind #mensmentalhealthawareness #emotionalwellbeingoftheman

Is your daughter overly self-critical, an over-achiever or quick to frustration with new challenges or tough tasks? If so, you might be seeing the downside of perfectionism. While striving for high standards is a wonderful characteristic, perfectionism can lead to unrealistic expectations, which—though it seems counterintuitive—can very often be a precursor to poor self-esteem and mental health issues like anxiety. Living in world of high expectations, it can be really hard to know how to teach our girls that 'who they are', not their achievements, is what makes them worthy. At MicroSteps™ for Moms of Daughters, I help you cultivate a growth mindset and resilience, prioritizing effort and learning over flawless outcomes. 💪💕 🌟 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 confident, happy, and healthy daughters. https://lnkd.in/g4fsC5sA #mindsetgrowth #parentingtips #overcomingperfectionism #raisingdaughters #microstepsmethod #resilience #emotionalhealth #positiveparenting
