The Wishlist Project, organized by the KGCFS Youth Advisory Council and Team Elite Realty, is focused on supporting children and youth in the Sudbury area who are in care, at risk, or without a home this holiday season. KGCFS held a bake sale this month, and we matched the proceeds, doubling the impact! We’re collecting hygiene items and fulfilling wishes for toys, clothing, and other gifts to bring joy and hope to those in need. You can help make the season brighter by donating to the fund at sudburywishlistproject@gmail.com or purchasing hygiene items from our wishlist: https://lnkd.in/eRwfTe-A. Let’s work together to make this holiday season truly special!

Beyond the charity itself, what are your giving objectives? Keeping in mind that donors have unique circumstances, a combination of goals and that one size doesn’t fit all, here are some options to consider: Do you have an interest in philanthropy or are you looking to share your hard-earned wealth to benefit others? If so, consider reaching out to our team to have a discussion at McMillanWS@Richardsonwealth.com.

Today is International Charity Day! Did you know that 4.3 billion people worldwide helped someone they didn’t know, volunteered time, or donated money to a good cause in 2024? (World Giving Index 2024 Global Trends in Generosity) It’s no surprise that research indicates that giving to others actually puts donors in a good mood. This is especially the case, studies show, in three ways: –The act of giving feels good in the moment –People like having choices about their giving –People like to see the results of their giving We know this intuitively based on our own experiences. For instance, many of us enjoy picking out a birthday gift for a friend or family member and watching them open it. The same good feelings translate to charitable giving. Celebrate the nonprofits that mean the most to you by tagging them below. 💖

World Give Day is an annual international holiday celebrated on May 4th to promote philanthropy, charitable giving, and acts of kindness worldwide. The holiday was created in 2010 by the online fundraising platform GiveForward.com to encourage people to donate their time, money, or resources to causes they care about. On World Give Day, people are encouraged to volunteer, raise awareness, or contribute to charities and non-profit organizations in any way they can. The goal is to inspire selflessness and generosity, and to demonstrate how even small acts of kindness can have a significant positive impact on society. World Give Day is celebrated globally, with individuals, families, businesses, and communities coming together to give back. Some common ways to observe the holiday include donating food or toys, making handmade gifts, or organizing fundraisers and blood drives. The holiday serves as a reminder that giving has no set time limit and can be practiced year-round.

Do you want to be in a win-win situation??? I’ll let you into a little secret….. If your kids have toys that they never use, now is a good time to donate them in time for others to buy them for Christmas 🎄 ✅This will also give you an opportunity to clear your playroom or bedrooms/living room, to give you more space back. ✅You won’t feel as overwhelmed in January after the big man has been, and there are even more toys now! ✅Other families can get cheaper pre-loved toys for Christmas pressies and your toys get reused ✅ Get the kids involved, so they learn the importance of giving back to other children and recycyling. ✅Your local charity makes some money for their cause. It is a win-win!! 🎉 Need help? Drop me a message! Is anyone preparing to do some spring cleaning before May comes? 🙌 While you're dusting down the shelves, wiping down the counters, and sweeping up the floors, don't forget to work through those old/unused/worn out items that are ready to move out the door. One of the easiest ways to declutter any room is to have three bins—one for things to sell, another for donations, and a third for trash. Oh, and don't forget to grab those bags of items you were supposed to donate last year but have been taking up room in your garage instead! #CustomOrganization #stpetefl #customclosets #customorganization #homeorganization
