https://lnkd.in/gsV4QTir 「２０１０年の尖閣諸島沖事件の際、中国はレアアースの対日輸出を制限した。その後、中国は、「レアアースの安定供給を望むなら、磁石の製造を中国で行えばよい」と日本の主要企業を誘致した。磁石材料製造のための技術や製造装置は、武器製造にも用いられうるものであり、「通常兵器の開発、製造若しくは使用に用いられるおそれの強い貨物例」の２及び３に掲載されているが、結果として輸出され、日本企業による中国での生産が始まり、それを機に中国地場企業の競争力が一気に高まっていった。ボトルネックを克服できる技術やサプライチェーンの上流の物資を握る企業は、中国から熱烈に歓迎されている。しかし、実際に足を踏み入れてみると、大局的には技術を奪われていくという構造になっている。」 "During the Senkaku Islands incident in 2010, China restricted exports of rare earths to Japan. After that, China invited major Japanese companies to China, saying, 'If you want a stable supply of rare earths, you can manufacture magnets in China.' The technology and manufacturing equipment for manufacturing magnetic materials can also be used in weapons manufacturing, and are listed in 2 and 3 of the 'Examples of Goods that are Likely to be Used in the Development, Manufacturing, or Use of Conventional Weapons.' However, they were exported, and Japanese companies began production in China, which led to a sudden increase in the competitiveness of local Chinese companies. Companies with technology that can overcome bottlenecks and materials upstream in the supply chain are warmly welcomed by China. However, when you actually step foot in China, you will see that the structure is such that technology is being taken away from them in the big picture."

https://lnkd.in/gQBCUGhz うーん、どうかな？ 範囲を絞ってはいるが。 いずれにしても、長い期間関税をかけ続けることは出来ない。 中国を抑え込む効果は時間の経過とともに低下することは必至。 アメリカ自身の科学技術力を伸ばすことが最重要であり、日本政府や日本企業をアテには出来ない。ただし、日本政府に批判的な科学者は多数存在しているから、そういう日本人科学者をアメリカはアテにできる。そういう日本人科学者は円安で非常に困っているから、FRBが金利を下げて円高に誘導すれば助かる。 日本政府に批判的な日本人科学者をアメリカは積極的に採用して、アメリカの科学技術力を伸ばすことは良いやり方。 そういう日本人科学者の多くは中国を好いている。 あまり中国をいじめない方が、アメリカの為には良い。 Hmm. Though the scope is narrowed, tariffs seem not to be effective. Either way, tariffs cannot be kept on for a long time. The effect of suppressing China will inevitably decrease over time. The most important thing is for America to improve its own scientific and technological capabilities, and America cannot rely on the Japanese government or Japanese companies. However, there are many scientists who are critical of the Japanese government, so America can rely on these Japanese scientists. These Japanese scientists are in a lot of trouble because of the weak yen, so they would be helped if the Fed lowered interest rates and caused the yen appreciation. It would be a good idea for America to actively employ Japanese scientists who are critical of the Japanese government and improve America's scientific and technological capabilities. Many of these Japanese scientists like China. It would be better for America not to bully China too much.

At Asahi Kasei, one of the key themes in transforming their business portfolio is the maximization of intangible assets. They are implementing various measures to link management and business strategies with intellectual property strategies. For example, they are conducting IP landscape activities to enhance management decision-making and business promotion, ensuring timely responses to management and business policies.

今週はJFEホールディングスの北野社長へのインタビューでした。技術畑出身で生産現場経験が豊富な北野新社長は、脱炭素を中心に取り組む方針です。 来春に中期経営計画の発表を控えていますが、市況が低調な中でも安定配当を継続すること、国内需要が低迷する中でインド・北米・中東を中心とした海外拡大路線、去年火を落とした京浜の高炉跡地を脱炭素の技術の結集地にするなど、今後の方針についてお話していただきました。 This week, I had the opportunity to interview JFE Holdings’ new CEO Mr. Kitano. With a background in engineering and extensive experience on the production floor, Kitano CEO is focused on pursuing initiatives centered around decarbonization. As the company prepares to announce its mid-term business plan next spring, he discussed several key policies. These include maintaining stable dividends despite sluggish market conditions, pursuing overseas expansion with a focus on India, North America, and the Middle East amidst stagnant domestic demand, and transforming the former Keihin blast furnace site, which was shut down last year, into a hub for decarbonization technologies.

With the U.S. move to impose tariffs on China's new energy EVs likely next week, China's new energy EV manufacturers will more frequently take up shipping to deliver goods that haven't yet generated orders. So, the cost of shipping is still on the rise in the future, and the momentum of the price hike is likely to be even more rapid.

(English follows Japanese) 日経新聞から。 与党税制改正大綱が出ていて、ETFについても触れられています。 https://lnkd.in/gSESG2aW 実際の大綱はこちら。ETFはP25 https://lnkd.in/g56QTYwP 要するに、以下の2つの変化といえそうです。 1. 10000円以下のETFで、対象の指数に連動するETFであればつみたて投資枠に入れることができる。 2. つみたては、今はるいとうという方式だけですが、今後は10000円で買えるだけ買うといったベストエフォートの積立も許容される るいとうだと、証券会社が名義人となって、投資家は持分に応じた分配金を受け取る方式なので、1円単位できっちり買えます。一方で、手間がかかることから、提供出来る証券会社が限られる、コストが高いというデメリットもあります。 新しい方式でも証券会社による対応が必要ですが、現行の方式よりも大分ハードルが低くなります。 From Nikkei Newspaper. (1) ETFs under 10,000 yen that are linked to the target index can be included in cumulative investment category of NISA account. (2) Although only the "Ruitou" method is available now, best-effort accumulation, such as buying as many ETFs within 10,000 yen, will be allowed. With Ruitou, the securities company acts as the nominee and the investor receives distributions in proportion to his/her share, so he/she can buy exactly by one yen at a time. On the other hand, it has the disadvantages of taking effort, limited to brokerage firms that can offer it, and relatively expensive. The new method still requires support by securities companies, but the hurdles will be much lower than the current method. #ETF
