At Team One, culture shapes how we move forward. This month, our Los Angeles team collaborated with Best Buddies in California, a remarkable nonprofit that advocates for members within the intellectual and developmental disability community. Together, we hosted *another* interview workshop that transformed the interview process into an empowering platform for members to showcase their voices and gain agency. This partnership holds a special place in our hearts as it allows us to continue celebrating Byron Cole (a loving, departed Team One family member). Major thank you to BRIAN CLANCY McGUFFOG for taking head shots that capture each participant’s authentic essence, Ruby Barrios, our Do Good Friday lead, and our open-hearted Team Oner’s for making change possible! #teamone #lifeatT1

Monday Motivation: A Magnificent Mission for Movement I'm incredibly fortunate to be spending time this week with the inspiring Bentley family. Their story is a testament to the power of love, resilience, and the human spirit. When their son, MJ, was diagnosed with Pallister-Killian Syndrome (PKS), a rare genetic disorder, they embarked on a remarkable journey to create a world of possibilities for MJ and children like him. Motion Junction is a tangible manifestation of their unwavering love and determination. This extraordinary playground is a meticulously designed space where every child, regardless of ability, can experience the joy of play and movement. From the moment they conceived this idea, the Bentleys faced countless hurdles – fundraising, navigating complex regulations, and overcoming the physical and emotional challenges of raising a child with special needs. But their passion and perseverance have created a place that is truly magical. As we celebrate Disability Awareness Month, it's essential to recognize the incredible impact individuals like the Bentleys have on our communities. Their work is a powerful reminder that inclusion is not just a buzzword, but a fundamental right. By creating spaces like Motion Junction, they are breaking down barriers and fostering a more compassionate and understanding world. Let's be inspired by the Bentley family's courage and commitment. Let's use this week to reflect on how we can contribute to a more inclusive society. Together, we can build a world where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential. Achieving our dreams, big or small, rarely happens in a vacuum. We thrive when we have a supportive community around us— people who believe in our potential, celebrate our wins, and hold us accountable when we need that extra push. It's easy to fall into the "go it alone" mentality, convincing ourselves that asking for help or sharing our goals with others is a sign of weakness. The truth is quite the opposite. #SupportSystem #Community #Accountability

My Advocacy Message ABLE VOICE To the Society, It is essential that every individual is treated with dignity, respect, and given equal opportunities. Unfortunately, individuals with special needs are often overlooked, yet they bring unique skills and perspectives to our society. Let's thrive to establish a community that values and supports all individuals, regardless of their abilities. As a society, we need to eradicate stereotypes and dismantle obstacles that hinder people with special needs from fully participating in our society. Let's build a world where diversity is embraced, and everyone is empowered to succeed. Together, we have the power to create positive change in the Society. #AbleVoiceExperience #FirstImpressionsMatter #NGOlife #VolunteerDiaries #AbleVoiceFamily #MakingADifference #InspiringStories #AbleVoiceAdventures #MyFirstTime #CommunityWork #AbleVoice
