The True Power of Authentic Leadership In today’s world, leadership isn’t just about holding a title or giving orders. It’s about being true to who you are and leading with honesty, integrity, and purpose. This is what we call authentic leadership. At Emirates Youth Leadership, we believe that authentic leadership is the key to success in both personal and professional life. Our program focuses on helping UAE Nationals discover their inner strengths and develop their own authentic leadership style. We don’t just teach skills, we help you understand who you are as a leader and how you can make a real difference in your community and the future of the UAE. When you lead authentically, you don’t just achieve your own goals, you inspire others to reach their potential too. People naturally follow leaders who are genuine and trustworthy because they know that such leaders care about the team’s success, not just their own. Why born leaders don’t exist : They are made. Made through growth, resilience and vision. In Saudi Arabia, the Kingdom's ambitions are big and happening thanks to the inspirational drive of the country's leadership. To make those important ambitions real and lasting, great leaders in middle management are also much needed. It is often heard that some people are simply "born to lead." But are they? Being a leader isn’t something you’re born with – it’s something you develop. Especially in today's fast-evolving business landscape, leaders need to build the skills to guide their teams through change, uncertainty, and complex challenges. Middle managers in Saudi organizations have a critical role to play in this transformation. To become a great leader, you need to be well trained and experienced in at least 3 elements: 1. Supporting your team: take the blows unnoticed, make team members grow and publicly shine, give trust and provide confidence, uplift others. 2. Always respond, quick and on point. Help them make decisions and follow them in implementing these decisions. Provide guidance and lessons. 3. Give clear intent; make sure all members know where they should be heading for and why. Set guide rails and always demonstrate the important values yourself. More to come in next posts on #Learn2LeadChange As the Kingdom strives to meet its national goals, let’s remember that strong leaders are key to realizing the full potential of Saudi Arabia’s future. Are you ready to invest to become a future leader for change? #Lead #Vision2030 #MiddleManagement #SaudiTransformation #ChangeLeadership

Would you believe this is my first ever post on LinkedIn? Normally I am happy to follow others on this platform, but I am getting involved in a leadership conference here in Saudi Arabia and it made me think about leadership across different cultures. Is 'leadership' the same around the world, or is it understood, conceptualised and enacted in different ways based on tradition, history and culture? In the West we have a long tradition of leadership development and a thriving (perhaps over saturated?) leadership industry. This is not the same elsewhere. Can I simply pick up all I know about leadership and apply it out in Saudi Arabia? Or will it fail to resonate given language and cultural differences? What are your thoughts or experiences? I would be fascinated to hear your views. #Learn2LeadChange #KSA

These competencies are essential for influencing, guiding, and managing teams toward achieving organizational goals. Here’s a quick breakdown of KSA competencies in leadership: #Knowledge: Understanding your industry, organization, and strategic frameworks is essential. Leaders must be informed about change management, risk management, and leadership theories to guide teams effectively. #Skills: Communication, decision-making, problem-solving, and team-building are core skills. Leaders need to inspire, resolve conflicts, manage time, and mentor others for growth. #Abilities: Adaptability, emotional intelligence, resilience, and visionary thinking are critical abilities.
