The government of Sindh could spend only 51% of the development budget of the current financial year Karachi: In Sindh, only 51% of the entire development budget could be spent in 11 months of the current fiscal year 2023-24. According to the Finance Department document, 5256 development projects were planned in the current financial year, out of which 3311 projects are already underway and 1945 projects are new. In the current financial year, 3 trillion 85 billion 50 crore rupees were allocated for development projects in Sindh, however, 2 trillion 56 billion 896 million rupees were released in 11 months. One trillion 91 billion 21 billion 90 million rupees have been spent on development projects out of the released money, this amount is 51 percent of the development budget, while the amount of 1 billion 28 billion 60 million rupees is still left.
