It's NOT Wednesday... It’s Windays! 🎉 The midweek point where we celebrate our wins because that’s what keeps us motivated and moving in purpose. I’m thrilled to share that yesterday, I wrapped up my last leadership development session for the 2024 cohort of Blk Tech Founders at 1871, featuring founders from Chicago to Long Beach and as far as Lagos, Nigeria. Truly making a global impact! Over the past 8 weeks, we didn’t just cover the basics; we illuminated the brilliance within and disrupted the doubts that held us back. From identifying North Stars and dreaming big to creating actionable plans amidst uncertainty and making value-driven decisions, we did it all. We explored mindset shifts around securing funding, betting on ourselves for revenue generation, and controlling the controllables. The founders’ takeaways filled my cup, and the words they used to describe our journey—introspective, strategic, and community-driven—were incredibly impactful. My favorite word? Blessing. 🌟 It’s been a blessing to work with nearly 50 founders, my biggest cohort to date, and to have the support of Betsy Ziegler, Alysha-Aubrey Bursey, and to partner with Jeffrey Osuji in leading the cohort. Check out the amazing work these founders are bringing into the world—I’ll tag them in the comments! I’m excited to see the impact they will make and to continue serving in 2025. Here’s to the next chapter of growth and innovation! 🚀 What are you and your team celebrating today?

I confess I was a bit starstruck this week!🤩 This Tuesday, Hive Streaming and I had the honor of welcoming Erica Sandelin Ekelund, an inspiration in the Swedish tech world. Erica is nominated as SaaS Leader of the Year by Brekit and is the CEO of Voyado, which is currently recognized as one of the top SaaS companies. This session was especially meaningful to me as a woman in tech and aligned with my core value of building an inclusive, fair, and diverse environment. I believe this not only creates happier teams but we also know it drives success. Inviting Erica to share her insights on leadership, culture, and well-being with our Hivians was a huge win. With small steps, I know we can make a real difference! In 2024, our Lunch & Learn sessions have taught me a lot. Stepping outside my comfort zone, like interviewing a top CEO in front of an audience, can be intimidating. Inviting speakers to discuss inspiring topics is also daunting, and I never know if people like the topics or speakers. However, I’ve learned that embracing discomfort is crucial for personal growth, especially during tough times when it’s easy to stick to what we know. We’ve hosted fantastic speakers so far, with more to come. If you have a topic in mind and would like to join us as a speaker in Stockholm (or digital), let me know. It could be a hidden skill, how you use our product, or something else! #LunchandLearn #LearningCulture #WomeninTech #FemaleCEO #inclusion #wellbeing #leadership #tech #SaaS #HiveStreaming

Afrotech Reflections: Get You a Friend Who Knows Tech (and Selfies!) AFROTECH never disappoints, and this year was a standout because I got to reconnect with two of my favorite Product leaders: Julie M. Wenah and Bahja Johnson!! Julie brings brilliance and grace to every space she enters, and Bahja? She’s not just an innovator at Apple —she’s basically a selfie cheat code. (Pro tip: Look at the green dot on your iPhone 📱. Thanks to Bahja, my selfies are officially next level!) In the fast-paced tech ecosystem, finding colleagues who become friends, mentors, and cheerleaders all in one is rare. I’m so grateful to count these two powerhouses as part of my circle. They embody what leadership is all about: driving innovation while creating space for others to shine. Take a moment to reflect: Who’s in your circle, lifting as they climb? Make sure you celebrate them today ✨. #Afrotech #Leadership #DiversityInTech #WomenInTech #Innovation #LiftAsYouClimb #Inclusion #womeninleadership
