From rethinking the traditional 9 to 5 to accommodating the school run, flexibility is key. 🔄 As businesses, we must adapt and innovate to meet the diverse needs of our workforce. Whether it’s crafting return-to-work programs post-maternity leave or allowing for different working hours, our policies need to reflect reality—not just our ideals. 👉 Remember, flexibility isn’t just a perk; it’s a necessity. Most women yearn for 'Me Time'. They aspire to exercise, meditate, and engage in activities that resonate with their beliefs, aiming to enhance their health and well-being among other aspects of life. What often hampers these aspirations isn't a lack of intention or willpower; it's the challenge of managing time effectively. This has been the single most frequent question we encountered during our sessions and interactions with women throughout International Women's Week. While there are myriad complex strategies and methods for effective time management, starting simple can often be the most effective approach. As highlighted in renowned works like "Atomic Habits," "The Power of Habit," and "The Compound Effect," the key lies in integrating small, manageable habits into your daily routine, gradually building a powerful foundation for change. In our latest video on the Wonder Woman Wednesday channel for our SheKnows series, we delve into straightforward tips and simple steps to kickstart this journey towards better time management and self-care. https://lnkd.in/g8JUGRtZ How have you managed to integrate beneficial habits into your daily routine? Share your strategies and experiences in the comments below. Let's inspire and learn from each other's journeys towards a more balanced and fulfilling life. #TimeManagement #SelfCare #MeTime #WomenEmpowerment #InternationalWomensWeek #WonderWomanWednesday #SheKnows

Did you know that women are asked to do 200 hours of non-promotable tasks at work every year? Those hours equate to time that we are not able to focus on driving impact that we were hired to do, and instead get side-tracked by office housework. It’s not an ideal situation for us (it leads to slower career progression and burnout) or for our employers (it hinders organizations from effectively allocating talent, and ultimately takes away from the promotable tasks we were hired to do). Allspring Global Investments invited me to share this research - and explore possible solutions (such as the “align-decline-refine” approach) - in the “Power of No” workshop last month. As always, their feedback helped to make this content even more helpful moving forward. And it seems like discussing NPTs is now a regular topic of conversations, which not only helps women, but helps the entire organization ensure that talent is focusing on the highest value tasks. Research shout out 📢 to “The No Club” book, which really started the conversation on this topic. #WomanEmpowerment #GenderEquity #NonPromotableTasks

Case Study: Women in the Workplace – Qualitative Research Report This case study highlights Veridata Insights’ in-depth Qualitative Research capabilities that deliver intelligent and actionable insights for our clients. Veridata took to three focus groups representing women from a full spectrum of industries, experiences, and generations. Throughout this study, we explored the modern workplace, with the goal of answering one provocative question: Working from Home provides women more opportunity for flexibility, mental wellness, and inclusion—or does it? Covid forced us to utilize modern technology to continue to conduct business, in a world where we could no longer go into places of business or meet with our colleagues, where travel was taboo. Covid introduced a whole new set of norms, and tools. Now we are in a post-Covid world, and one question arises among all others – do we go back, or do we move forward? Do we go back to the way things were, to the office and the meetings and the travel? Or do we move forward, holding onto our new tools and processes, and create a new norm, one that offers the enhanced flexibility and productivity, while also providing a stronger work-life balance? Does such a utopia even exist—can it? And the answers were resounding! Read the full report. https://lnkd.in/e3iZ2Rd4 #mrx #marketresearch #dataanalytics #veridata

Is Your Workplace Designed for Everyone? “Women continue to be disadvantaged by a working culture that is based on the ideological belief that male needs are universal” This is a quote from one of the most powerful books out there on the representation of women in the world - Invisible Women by Caroline Criado Perez. Take a close look at workplace setups, and you'll notice they often overlook women's needs. For instance, something as basic as an office chair can be a struggle for many women because they're not designed for their average height. It's not just about chairs; I used to wonder why my female colleagues and I were always freezing in the office while men would casually go about their work day. It turns out, offices are typically kept five degrees colder than what's comfortable for women. No wonder we're always bundled up, even in summer! This issue goes beyond just unconscious biases or flexibility—it's about workplaces being fundamentally uncomfortable for women because they were designed with men in mind. I never knew why I loathed an in-office working arrangement until I joined inFeedo and created a workspace that suits me. In short, workplaces need to prioritize making things better for women. P.S. Check out my home workspace (with a footrest!) #WorkingComfortably
