The second #UELCOME workshop was held some weeks ago in Escola d'Enginyeria de Telecomunicació i Aeroespacial de Castelldefels (EETAC-UPC) in Barcelona, Spain. The SESAR 3 Joint Undertaking U-ELCOME project, funded by the CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency analyzed in Barcelona the challenges encountered during the initial phases of #Uspace implementation. Nine distinct topics were discussed in numerous sessions over the two days, covering crucial topics such as interoperability between operators and U-space service providers (#USSPs), U-space services, integration with air traffic management (#ATM), common information services, communications, local engagement and regulatory challenges, and the utilization of U-space in emergency and security operations. #drones

💡 As the demining market in Ukraine continues to evolve, more and more teams using various innovative technologies are emerging. To regulate the use of the new tech, it is necessary to establish standards – common rules under which developers will operate. To achieve this, UNDP in Ukraine, the Ministry of Economy, and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine are testing the most popular developments. Such experiments will also help assess the effectiveness of the technologies and determine under which conditions each method works most effectively. In this video, two start-up teams test their UAVs with remote sensing technologies. The testing was organized with the support of the Government of France. This is not the first phase of research: Last year, UNDP engaged seven companies in the experiment. Three developments were able to reliably detect explosive objects. Ministry of Economy of Ukraine

In a #space mission 🚀 , everything is expected to go according to plan, nominal values and ultimate success. But what happens when things go wrong? When something fails and suddenly the #astronauts find themselves faced with a situation where, sometimes in a limited time they must solve a technical problem and teamwork and communication are essential? This is what our PRESSURE study has analysed in the current AMADEE (Austrian Space Forum (OeWF)) campaign in #Armenia. in PRESSURE, we used a new tool designed by our team, the TEAM -METER(c). TEAM METER is a tool by the Universidad de Cádiz and Neurotek Lab, specially designed to measure the status of a team at a given time. TEAM METER allows us to take a "still photo" of situation of a team in one specific moment and how it evolves over time. It measures subjectively and objectively different aspects in 3 dimensions plus an optional "hybrid capability" when robotic systems or drones are incorporated into the team. TEAM METER is fast and repeatable. TEAM METER has also been tested with Military From Neurotek Lab (Sara González de la Torre Muñoz, Miguel Ángel Ramallo-Luna and Celia Avila-Rauch) at Universidad de Cádiz we are very happy to participate in the #AMADEE #space #analog and test our research project and specific tools development. PRESSURE is the emergency scenario based study designed to measure how teams react to the unexpected or technical/ medical problems in EVAs.

#Aerial Operations (AO) form the backbone of Innovative Aerial Services (#IAS), offering significant social and economic benefits that often surpass the more attention-grabbing Innovative Air Mobility (#IAM). However, the growth of the AO market is currently at risk, hindered by complex regulations and administrative hurdles, such as the need for Operational and Flight Authorisations.   While the introduction of U-Space could streamline AOs, its implementation is expected to be a lengthy and costly process. Moreover, for U-Space to be both effective and financially sustainable, it requires a high density of UAS operations. This means that AOs need to be enabled before U-Space can fully take off. The only way to shift this paradigm and position U-Space as the critical infrastructure for AOs is through significant public investment, much like other essential infrastructure developed in the 20th century.   At Intellimove we are actively collaborating with national and international stakeholders to propose solutions that accelerate the adoption of AOs—without waiting for U-Space to be deployed.
