Some people tend to first look at what they do not have and what has not been achieved and their analysis becomes bitter when thinking about the economy, the ecosystem, or even their own development. Others look at where things come from and how different they are now compared to, say, 10 years ago thus showing the progress and revealing the potential. Marius Istrate, the Chairman of #TechAngels sees things using the second lens and as a result, it is encouraging and inspiring. A brief overview of the local startups and angel investors' evolution. #growingtogether #startups #angelinvestors #techecosystem

A fatal mistake fundraising Founders make when VCs ask them about competition is narrowing it down to other startups doing the same thing. Your largest competitor is what people are doing right now to “do the job.” I revisited this ultra-famous Paul Graham article today, he put this mantra eloquently. “I can think of several heuristics for generating ideas for startups, but most reduce to this: look at something people are trying to do, and figure out how to do it in a way that doesn't suck.” #oldbutgold #venturecapital #startups

First event done as the Startup Wingman! It's a very different feeling going to these things as just yourself, but talking to founders and hearing the issues that have arisen in their journeys proved the need is there for people who can help founders right at the beginning of their journey. It has also got me thinking more and more about what startups have to deal with and why people need help getting their ideas off the ground. The biggest and number one issue that was mentioned was funding, and how hard it is to get any especially as genuine early stage startups. So my really question now is, how can we get more founders the limited funds they need to bootstrap to success rather than wasting time on lengthy fund-raising rounds? #founders #bootstrapping #startups
