🌟 Why Tech Conferences are More Than Just Presentations 🌟 I used to think tech conferences were all about attending presentations and workshops, with high expectations from the speakers. Over time, I realized they offer so much more: 🧑💻 Networking: Connect with other passionate developers. 🤝 Potential Investors: Meet investors for your startup. 🏢 Company Booths: Discover companies you're curious about. 🎤 Diverse Presentations: Learn different presentation formats and public speaking skills. 💁 Experienced Speakers: Ask technical questions and gain speaking tips. ✨ New Places: Explore new cities if the conference is out of town. Conferences do come with costs 💰, but consider if the value outweighs the expense. If you haven’t been to one, start locally and see if your company can sponsor you. It’s definitely worth the experience! 💬 What do you enjoy most about tech conferences? #TechConferences #Networking #TechLearning #ProfessionalDevelopment #ExploreNewPlaces #DeveloperCommunity

#LATechweek & #SFTechWeek are the networking festivals. in total there were 700+ events during the last 2 weeks 🙃 You register for the maximum number of events relevant to you and choose where to go once accepted. Not the other way around, as you might not get accepted for the event you need and will just lose time - - - - It's a brilliant opportunity to learn more about what's going on in the industry Any industry. I had LA tech week more relaxed, compared to SF 🙄 Well it also was hard to attend more events as the distances were longer you need 40-60 minutes to get from one location to another in LA as for NY and SF, just a 15-minute walk. I attended events related to - Aerospace - Web3 & Crypto - Consumer goods - Talent and human resources - Accelerators demo days it gave me a good feeling about what we need to do in Gegidze to grow which verticals to invest in and what companies to build. - - - - - Overall, learning how the business works here in California was exciting. Which defers from the European one, & course the one from the Caucasus region. Yes there is more money Yes there is more scale But also way more problems More wannabe entrepreneurs & investors So it's harder to navigate But once you nail it Then you are good to go - - - - - I can recommend Tech Week public events only for networking & research purposes, which I did but definitely not for business. unless you are invited to some private event with 10-20 people only. Next year will show how well or badly I did the research, As we will be building more companies targeting the US market. - - - - Any learnings you'd like to share about #techweek ? #events #entrepreneurlife

Let me approach this popular question: is it worth taking a flight all the way to San Francisco to participate in the TECH WEEK by a16z? Here is my honestly brutal review: 👇 Tech Week — the annual festival of technology organized and sponsored by Andreessen Horowitz (a.k.a. A16z)— is a galaxy of hundreds of events listed under one Tech Week agenda. During the event, not only Andreessen Horowitz but also other tech giants such as OpenAI, Microsoft, Anthropic, xAI, Neuralink, and dozens of others cast their own conferences, hackathons, and parties. However, more than anything, Tech Week is a bottom-up initiative. As such, it is extremely inclusive: anyone can propose and host and event, from the largest, most famous big tech company to a private individual. If you have an idea and energy to pursue your vision, just do it: submit an event proposal and make it happen. The events fall into a broad spectrum: all from the largest, most luxurious venues such as historical ball rooms in the financial district of San Francisco, to sipping beers on the roofs of private houses. Cruising through the city from one event to another resembles an odyssey, just like Ulisses’ journey described in the James Joyce’s book. And behind every single door, there is a brand new world. And so, what did I learn after a week of hopping events? Well, if you are an active founder, an especially a CEO of a company raising funds, then to some extent, this week didn’t differ much from any the week in a year. You wake up in the morning and you go to events, trying to get to the right people in the crowd. I would even say that some of cyclic events I attended attracted less audience during the Tech Week than they usually do, because the crowd had more events to choose from. So, does the TechWeek 10x your networking outcome? Well I doubt it. I would rather say that it a feast of innovation and scaling. More than anything, you attend it to forget about your day-to-day struggle, to celebrate and to feel proud of belonging to the tribe of crazy people called entrepreneurs. # Four Must-See Events at Utah Tech Week 2025 As se start Utah Tech, I wanted to highlight some incredible events that I'm particularly excited about. Here are the gatherings I think you shouldn't miss! ## 1. MakeUtah Space Launch with Vanessa Machin Perez This is huge for our maker community! Vanessa is opening the doors to the new MakeUtah space, and I'm excited to see this addition to our tech ecosystem. Whether you're a hardware enthusiast, a product developer, or just curious about the maker movement, this is your chance to be part of something special from day one. The energy and innovation happening in this space is exactly what our community needs. If you need another reason to visit, MakeUtah is hosting working space for the duration of Tech Week. ## 2. Joel McKay Smith's Events at Gracie's ⚡Joel McKay Smith (JoelMesiter) has put together several fantastic events at Gracie's, and they're definitely on my must-attend list. Joel has a unique talent for creating environments where meaningful connections happen naturally. The lineup at Gracie's promises to be a perfect blend of networking, learning, and collaboration. Plus, the venue itself adds such a great vibe to any tech gathering! ## 3. AaaS - AI Agents as a Service with Brad Moss Brad Moss is hosting what promises to be a fascinating deep dive into the world of AI Agents as a Service. I'm particularly excited about this one because it represents the cutting edge of AI integration in business. If you're interested in where AI is headed and how it's being implemented in practical ways, this is the event for you. ## 4. FailedShit Competition by Failed Founders Club This might be the most unique event of the week! The Failed Founders Club is hosting their FailedShit competition, and I love how it flips the script on typical startup events. It's refreshing to see an event that celebrates learning from failure and creates space for honest conversations about the entrepreneurial journey. ## Why I'm Sharing These I'm highlighting these events because each one represents something special happening in our tech community. They showcase the diversity of innovation and collaboration happening right here in Utah, and I believe they deserve more attention. ## Join Me! I'd love to connect with fellow tech enthusiasts at these events. If you're planning to attend any of them, reach out! Let's meet up and explore what Utah Tech Week has to offer together. Drop a comment below if you're planning to attend any of these events or if you know of other great gatherings I should check out during Tech Week! #UtahTech #UtahTechWeek #Innovation #Technology

It's not the size of your event. It's the concentration of high-value attendees who are facing the same challenges rather than thousands of people who are there for the wrong reasons. It's the value the attendees found in learning from one another (sponsors and attendees alike) and forging authentic relationships that will stand the test of time without being forced into it via contrived activities like those corny speed dating formats. It's not the size of your event. It's how you use it and the value everyone gains from it. Sponsorships are available for our East and West Coast 2025 Emerging Tech Summits. See ya there!
