Reframing the narrative. Over the years, I had the pleasure of working with many women in the tech sector. Almost every one of them hesitated called themselves a woman in tech. Women whose contribution to the organization they worked for (and sometimes even founded!) were critical. All because their role – operations, marketing, etc. – didn’t involve traditional IT like coding, programming. Let’s reframe this. You are a woman who contribute to the success of a company, you are a woman in tech. Period. #tech #womenintech

Did You Know? A recent survey by the Economic Times revealed that 31% of women in tech are considering quitting their jobs, listing poor management, lack of training, and a desire for better compensation as the main reasons. The survey showed that apart from AI, women in tech are interested in developing skills in leadership and management (37 percent) and project management (23 percent). It stated that respondents expressed the greatest dissatisfaction with managerial support (29 percent), current pay (28 percent), and diversity, equity, and inclusion (25 percent).
