Glad to be part of this initiative! Was just reading an article where they mentioned “Physical computing” is essential to facilitate the constructionist approach in learning, where learners get to develop ideas and knowledge structures both mentally and physically. Just mere programming where output is on a screen will not give the exposure where they actually get to connect with the tangible objects of the world and develop systems (prototypes) to solve problems in different domains. Yes ofcourse, apps are essential too but this just gives an edge. Plus, when you see a working system, it boosts your confidence too and motivates you to delve deeper into this field! 😃 P.s. With our curriculum and time constraints, a good way to implement this would be as ECAs/after-school clubs. #physicalcomputing #constructionistapproach #32Changemakers
