We delved into detailed implementations for nonprofits, discussing why Salesforce is transitioning from profiles to permission sets. Big thank you to Matt Henry who showed us how he documents Permission Set Groups (PSGs) and gave us some real use-case tips. A key takeaway for me was learning about muting permissions within permission set groups. This allows for creating a permission set with full access and then muting specific permissions, like delete access, within a group. 👑 I've obtained a new certification 👑 I'm thrilled to share that I have successfully obtained my first Architect certification! 🚀 I used a benefit voucher from the Trailblazer Community Forum Ambassador 2024. I would like to thank the Trailblazer Community team and Bhavin Patel for providing this voucher. ＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝ By the way, I have an apology to make.  About a week ago, due to switching my company's main email address, I encountered issues with my Trailblazer Account. All my "Answers/Accepted Answers (aka Best Answers)" and "Follows/Followings" within the Trailblazer Community were deleted. 💀💀💀 Additionally, I temporarily lost my "Forum Ambassador badge" and was unable to respond to questions from my account. 😱😱😱 Thanks to the diligent recovery efforts of the Trailhead support team yesterday, some data was restored, but all "Accepted Answers" and "Likes" on my responses were lost. I apologize to everyone who had previously given "Accepted Answers" and "Likes" to my responses. 🙇♂️ However, I will not be discouraged by this. I will continue to provide answers as before. "FREE" has DESTROYED the Salesforce ecosystem... Trailhead... FREE... User Group's with 44,000 people in it... FREE... A Slack channel with 2,000 people in it.. FREE (Or, maybe 40 bucks or so... ) What's missing? VALUE... Over the last 1-2 months, I have had hundreds of conversations with folks in the industry and have watched on LinkedIn as the Salesforce Partner Community has been deemed "BROKEN"... Like a drug dealer, Salesforce has hooked people on the drug of "FREE"... How can we tell? - An oversaturated ecosystem with 1000's of certifications without solid technical and foundational backgrounds... - Salesforce Agencies popping up all over the place... - Salesforce Registered Partner Program is now FREE... with minimal barrier to entry... - Virtually everyone in the ecosystem expecting everything to be "FREE"... Resulting in... - Unsatisfied customers complaining about failed implementations (the posts and stories are out there, just look...)... - Massive Tech Debt due to non-technically sound Partners/Consultants implementing sub-par solutions... - And the Salesforce Customer base unwilling to invest money into SF due to the massive uncertainty about the ecosystem... This isn't hyperbole, it's real. Random 1:1 calls with a mentor? Absolutely there is value in that... Trailhead to get started? Absolutely, there is value in that... Don't get me wrong, I love the spirit of "FREE"... I saw a post today about a Partner that sponsored a Salesforce Event, saying it's "Giving Back"... Sure, part of it is... but that "Giving Back" is a business expense for a reason... there is inherent "VALUE" in sponsoring that event... It's called, Advertising and Brand Awareness... They will likely get clients from sponsoring that event... They don't get to Sponsor the Event for "FREE"... They paid $$$.... If I was truly "Giving Back", I would slide a few hundred dollar bills into the offering jar at Church anonymously... (analogy) Enough with "FREE"... Start Investing in "VALUE"... Doing the same as everyone else.... will get you the same results as everyone else... And with the current state of the industry - well, you know.... Salesforce Partners #360mastermind
