👻 October isn't just spooky season – it's also Breast Cancer Awareness Month! ☠ Breast cancer ranks as the second most common cancer worldwide and is the leading cancer for women, with over 670,000 lives lost last year. ❤️ As a cancer survivor myself (thyroid), it’s been an honor to write about a topic near and dear to my heart for this amazing collaboration between Know Your Lemons Foundation and Mentionables. 🔍 Early detection is crucial in overcoming a breast cancer diagnosis and can truly be the difference between life and death. Chances are, most of us know someone (maybe even yourself) who has been impacted by breast cancer. Education is one of the most powerful tools we have in the fight against breast cancer. 🗣 Share this article with your loved ones to help them recognize early signs, learn how to perform regular self-exams at home, and get helpful tips for their first mammogram. Plus, we’ll clear up some common but incorrect myths about breast cancer. 💪 Knowledge is power and in this case, it could actually save a life. 👊 Are you a cancer warrior? Comment below, I would love to hear your story!

I have poured my heart and soul into this project for the last 3.5 years and am thrilled to announce my Breast Cancer Survivorship Series: A free virtual five-week series for adult female breast cancer patients at any stage of their cancer care journey. This series begins April 10th and will run each Wednesday through May 8, from 530-7pm. This series will provide attendees with information on important topics for breast cancer patients, including: · Menopause · Sex and intimacy · Survivorship care plans · Late- and long-term side effects · Self-care after breast cancer. Each session will have expert guest speakers, provide valuable resources, and end with a virtual support group discussion on the identified topic for the week. While stage 0 & 4 can attend, only women diagnosed with breast cancer stage 1-3 will be given the opportunity to answer a questionnaire after each session for research purposes. The goal of this research is to link patient empowerment to better control of mental and physical symptoms experienced by breast cancer patients. If you or any one you know may benefit from this program, please share this link with them or contact me directly to enroll: https://lnkd.in/guSd7_k4

🎗 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month – Together We Rise 🎗 This year’s theme, “Together We Rise,” is a powerful reminder of the strength we find in unity. Breast cancer touches millions of lives, but through education, support, and collective action, we can rise above the challenges it presents. 🌸 Together We Rise to: Support: Stand with survivors, those currently battling breast cancer, and their families. Empower: Share knowledge about the importance of early detection and regular screenings. Drive Change: Advocate for continued research and access to quality care for all. Breast cancer isn’t a fight anyone should face alone. Let’s raise awareness, show compassion, and work together towards a future where no one has to face breast cancer. 💪💖 "Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much." How are you supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month this year? #BreastCancerAwareness #TogetherWeRise #PinkRibbon #SupportTheCause #October2024 #EarlyDetection #BreastCancerResearch
