🚨 Be Ready to Act During Cardiac Arrest Cardiac arrest can happen without warning, but quick, effective action can make all the difference. Here are the essential steps for helping someone in cardiac arrest: Recognize the Signs: • Sudden loss of responsiveness • No normal breathing or only gasping for air Take Action: 1. Ensure the scene is safe 2. Check for responsiveness 3. Shout for help, call 911, and ask for an AED 4. Start CPR if there’s no breathing or only gasping 5. Administer compressions at 100-120 per minute in the center of the chest 6. Use an AED when it arrives and follow the prompts 7.
