Precision agriculture in action! 🍎🚜 In October last year, we carried out a trial in New York, combining Outfield crop maps with the John Deere Smart Apply system to demonstrate precision spraying in apple orchards. From a quick drone survey (2min/acre), we created a blossom map that informed a prescription spray plan. The block was divided into 7 areas with 3 different spray rates (low, medium and high). The smart apply system then varied the rate as the sprayer was driven through the orchard, delivering the correct rate for each area. This integration is available for growers in 2025 to optimise fruit load, improve yield, and reduce chemical use. Upgrade for our Rubin 10: Now even more versatile and efficient! The LEMKEN Rubin 10 compact disc harrows have been further developed to meet the growing demands of agriculture. The Rubin 10 series offers the perfect solution: even under difficult conditions, it ensures an intensive mixture of soil and vegetation - even at shallow working depths. The new Rubin 10 MR and Rubin 10 TF variants are true multi-tools: The rigid Rubin 10 MR relies on proven technology and equipment and is available up to a working width of 4 metres. The Rubin 10 TF impresses with numerous innovations for working widths from 4 m to 7 m. These include three leading tools: the proven straw harrow, the levelling tine section (familiar from our Heliodor) and the brand new cutting roller. An increased bar spacing of 1,350 mm reduces the risk of blockages and optimises the work result. Thanks to the new quick-change roller system, you can adapt the Rubin 10 MR and TF even more quickly and flexibly to the requirements of your site.

To use PlantCatalyst, start applying it two weeks after germination or transplanting, and continue until eight weeks (or 10 weeks for groundnuts and cotton). For seed treatment, mix 30ml of PlantCatalyst with 200ml of water for every 25kg of seed. For foliar treatment, use either 30ml in 16/20L or 150ml in 200L water weekly, or 60ml in 16/20L or 300ml in 200L water every two weeks. PlantCatalyst is equally effective with either foliar or root applications. Apply using various methods such as handheld sprayer, pivot, drone, or drip system. Remember to reduce fertilizer by 25-35% and expect a yield increase of up to 18%.
