Transfer of Training In Today's scenario Organizations have to focus 20% on the Training and 80% on making the strategies for the successful transfer of training . Transfer of Training 1. Whatever employees learnt in training ,Are they able to effectively use it at their workplace. 2. Learner must be supported by an organization with an effective work environment, Supervisor and Coworkers. 3. Cohesiveness = a feeling of oneness and a want to stay together. 4. To find out Free Riders in a team and to stop social loafing. Always remember that Not always training is the solution of the problem.Sometimes it is only able to solve the part of a problem.

The purpose of most IT training is to teach people how to use the technology. And therein is the problem. IT training does not deal with unlearning – which needs to happen *before* training. Any new technology, regardless of what it is, requires us to do similar work differently. That means we need to unlearn tasks that are comfortable. Tasks that we know how to do and have been doing for a long time. Then, and only then, can we learn new tasks and create new habits to work in a different way to integrate the new technology.

TRAINING and/or DEVELOPMENT... Training is a specific event with a defined beginning and a defined end. However, ‘development’ is a process which is continuous. In most of the cases, companies do arrange trainings where participants are exposed to some new ideas, knowledge and skills. In many cases, the training programs are wokrshops, where they do apply this new learning during training sessions and then they are expected to go back to the work and implement all what they have learnt during those couple of days. When they get back to their day to day work environment... Does this happen? Can this happen? Who will help this happen? Don’t allow... this to happen. The positive impact (whatever) fades away rapidly and things drift back to the earlier situation in spite of the best intentions and even serious follow-up. You have to keep in mind that learning does not start and stop with the training session. You have to take care of all the stages of learning transfer: before, during, and after training.
