We've got another great volunteer match story to share! 🎉 Meadhbh Roche from St Francis Social Services reached out to us late September to discuss enhancing their websites to make them more donor centric and really showcase their amazing impact. St Francis supports people seeking asylum and refugees with an incredible set of wrap around support services including transitional housing, foodbank, employment programs and case workers. These services are delivered through House Of Welcome, House of Welcome - Catering, and Centre360 Youth and Family Service. Meadhbh Roche and Sarah Titheridge worked with our Head of tekFoundation, Joni, to refine their goals for the project and the ideal set of skills the volunteer(s) would need. In the end we were able to source 2 generous volunteers that are teaming up to support both the design and engineering work required to bring the sites into the 21st century 🙌 - Deepak Sethi and Michael Fung. Michael is a UX/UI designer by trade, but spent the early days of his career building Squarespace websites for not-for-profits and independent artists. Deepak Sethi is a seasoned web and technical project developer and was looking for an opportunity to use his talents for a good cause. The project is just kicking off but we can't wait to follow along in 2025 and to see the new websites - Michael and Deepak, THANK YOU!!
