Throughout my career as a QA Automation Engineer Consultant, I've had the privilege of working with various organizations, each with its unique approach to quality assurance. However, there's a concerning trend I've noticed: many companies today seem to be under-investing in quality. 🔍 The Reality: Instead of investing in experienced QA professionals who can bring robust expertise and insight, there's a growing tendency to hire less experienced engineers. While fresh talent is vital, it cannot replace the depth of knowledge and strategic thinking that seasoned QA experts bring to the table. 💡 Why Quality Matters: Product Excellence: Experienced QA engineers ensure that products meet the highest standards of quality, leading to better customer satisfaction and loyalty. Efficiency: Skilled QA professionals can streamline testing processes, saving time and resources in the long run. Risk Mitigation: Thorough testing by knowledgeable engineers helps in identifying potential issues early, reducing the risk of costly post-release fixes. 🌱 Invest in Quality: Quality is not just a box to check; it's an ongoing commitment that pays dividends. 💬 What Do You Think? I'm curious to hear your thoughts and experiences. Have you noticed a similar trend in your industry or organization? How do you think companies can better balance the need for fresh talent with the critical expertise of seasoned professionals? #QualityAssurance #QAAutomation #InvestInQuality #TechIndustry #CareerInsights

Does a QA Engineer Need to Love the Product? The Power of Positive Assertiveness! 🧐 Is love for the product a must-have for QA Engineers? 💭 Let’s explore: 🔍 Passion for Quality is Key! Loving a specific product is a plus, but at the heart of a great QA engineer is an unwavering passion for quality. It’s about being meticulous, analytical, and driven to ensure a seamless user experience. 💡 Loving the Product: A Double-Edged Sword ➕ Pros: 🔹Increased motivation 🔹Enhanced attention to detail 🔹Strong product advocacy 🔹Balanced decision-making on bug fixes ➖ Cons: 🔴 Risk of confirmation bias (overlooking issues) 🔴 Challenges with maintaining objectivity 🔧 The Ideal QA Engineer: 🔹 Critical Thinker: Remains objective to catch even the smallest bugs. 🔹 User-Centric: Deeply understands the target user and their needs. 🔹 Positively Assertive: Communicates crucial issues constructively, aiming to enhance the product rather than assign blame. 💪 What is Positive Assertiveness? It’s not about being rude or confrontational. Positive assertiveness is about being clear, persistent, and solution-oriented when advocating for necessary changes. A QA engineer who loves the product—or simply has a strong passion for quality—may feel a stronger drive to ensure its success. 🔑 This assertiveness becomes a powerful asset in a team environment, fostering collaboration and innovation. My previous post went viral, gathering a lot of reactions and comments. Some of the feedback made me realize that many people might not fully understand how varied the role of a QA Test Engineer can be, and how different processes can be across companies. For example, at hierarchically structured companies, it’s often challenging to implement changes to existing processes. In contrast, companies with flat organizational structures might offer more flexibility and freedom for QA (and other) professionals. Additionally, job titles might be the same, but responsibilities and tasks can differ significantly. There are so many different roles and directions within the QA field, and these roles might not always be present in every team or even exist in some companies. The variety depends largely on the company and the product you are working on. The diversity in roles and responsibilities is what makes being a QA Test Engineer so fascinating to me. #WomenInTech #QA #QualityAssurance #WomenInQA

QA engineering might sound boring, but if you think that, you’ve got it wrong. Completely wrong. QA engineers are the ones who stop disasters before they happen. They’re the ones who keep everything from crashing down and make sure what goes out actually works. It’s not some checkbox-pushing job—it’s high-stakes. 1️⃣ Problem-solving every day: Bugs? They’re just challenges that sharpen your mind. 🧠 2️⃣ Own the quality: You’re the one making sure the product is rock solid. Without you, chaos reigns. 💥 3️⃣ Always improving: The best QA engineers are constantly leveling up, learning new tools, and staying ahead of the game. 🏆 So if you think QA is boring, think again. Real impact, real responsibility. That’s what QA is about. 💪 #QAEngineering #MasterOfQuality #TestingChampion
