If you are going to consider someone with zero gap there is no assurance he is the best person to do the job nor if there is a person with more than one year of career gaps he will not be competent to do this job. I think intelligent people will not apply for such jobs.

one of my ex colleague working in Chennai base company. Last three years he is working in my mainframe. He is addicted to my mainframe. He always says "your mainframe is my girl friend". I could increase my salary to double and also work from home. My response is "Tum to namak haram" How much u pay to father of your girl friend? Nothing." Very recently he changed his profile with Assembler. His company need many Assembler profile. His company authorized him to recruit Assembler candidates. He was asking help from me. After getting few tips his first interview is over. He ask the candidate " why we will recruit you?" The answer was "I am a good leader. I have good leadership qualities. I am very good in DB2 and COBOL" His next question "Tell me something about Assembler?" The answer was " I know few people who write assembler program " For your info, the candidates is working in biggest software company in India. My ex colleague ask me "will u teach Assembler to this candidate" My answer was "I do not teach leaders. Don't you see our leaders ".

CICS skills are a plus. • Strong DB2 skills required.
