🚆📡 Last week, Teldat had the privilege of participating in the Train Communications Systems Conference 2024 BWCS in London, a key event for the railway industry focused on Wi-Fi implementation and advanced onboard communication networks. The conference highlighted critical topics such as improving trackside coverage, eliminating signal blackspots, and enhancing high-quality services to meet growing passenger expectations. A standout discussion was the integration of satellite networks like Starlink and other high-capacity solutions, enabling broadband connectivity even in the most remote areas. These technologies, combined with terrestrial networks are redefining both the passenger experience and operational efficiency. Once more, the Gigabit Train concept also captured attention, uses cases envisioning extraordinary connectivity speeds onboard, real-time data transfer, uninterrupted streaming, and capabilities that benefit both passengers and rail operators.
