Angular Communities exposed as an API! I'm moving all data stored in markdown files with angular-hub.com in a public API. A raw list of the communities is already available! It's easily possible as the project already used AnalogJS (created by Brandon Roberts), unlocking API routes in the same project! There is still some work to do: - integrate related events - validate the data with zod - add some filters - add a SwaggerUI endpoint Find the list here: https://lnkd.in/eHiKYsMP

Roberto Heckers will be leading a session titled “Mastering Data Fetching in Angular Applications” at #ngPolandConf. In this talk, Roberto will dive deep into best practices for fetching and managing data in Angular apps, focusing on techniques to ensure efficient, reliable, and maintainable data flow. He will cover strategies for optimizing HTTP requests, leveraging RxJS for reactive data handling, and implementing patterns to minimize data-fetching delays and improve performance, particularly for complex or data-intensive applications.

Check out Deborah's latest video to learn about the new experimental resource() and rxResource() features in Angular v19, coming this November. These new features simplify data fetching and management in Angular applications, providing a more concise and efficient way to work with data. Here's a quick overview of what they do: 🎯 resource(): Fetches data and returns it as a promise. 🚀 rxResource(): Fetches data and returns it as an Observable. What the video for more info!

So what have I been up to, lately? It occurred to me that I could re-build the interactive comments section in Angular and see the different edge cases of having to deal with data flow. React’s way of passing data from a parent component to a child component is pretty straightforward. Angular’s way of data flow is significantly different. The one I encountered so far is the “Input” decorator which is similar to props in React. The “Input” decorator has what’s called a bindable property which lets you read properties of a component within its view.
