From the moment I arrived, it was clear: this wasn’t just another event. It was a celebration of growth, unity, and raw authenticity. Nothing could have prepared me for what I experienced in Goa for the annual Compass India growth conference. After receiving the warmest welcome I could ever have hoped for (followed by an evening of responsible carnage) – the conference got underway. ✨ Day 1: Kicked off with a talent show that felt like India's Got Talent. Teams poured their hearts into performances, breaking down regional barriers and building up team spirit. 🌟 Day 2: We got down to business. Each team presented their wins and strategies with such pride. I’ve seen team recognition done countless times, but not like this. Everyone entered the conference room like a celebrity, their hard work celebrated, respect and admiration at every turn. Words don’t do it justice, you have to watch the video. No formalities, just pure, joyful connection. So, what did I take away from the experience? Job titles didn’t matter. Nobody seemed trapped behind a suit. There is a definite correlation between ditching rigid, old-school corporate constructs to create the kind of team spirit that’s essential to driving growth. For any leaders out there feeling like they have to look or act any kind of way based on the seniority of their position, don’t. Just be yourself. Be more Compass India. Huge admiration for Vikas Chawla and the entire team for what they’ve built. This isn’t just a company, it’s a family with a growth mindset rooted in togetherness. Next stop?
