I listened to a great sermon today on 6 simple characteristics that lead to future success in your career. Whether that means a promotion, growth in terms of new customers, or being trusted with additional projects or leadership responsibilities, I thought these make up a great checklist for me to work towards each day. (Link in the comments below if interested) 1.       Audacity-Life of Faith 2.       Likeability-Life of relationships & love 3.       Capacity-Life of learning 4.       Reliability-Life of Trustworthiness 5.       Loyalty-Life without gossip, building others up not tearing them down 6.       Integrity-Life of mirroring in secret who you portray in public Said another way, and for those who love acronyms like my colleagues in the Insurance Industry, think S.H.I.N.E.S. 😊 S – Step out in Faith (takes Audacity) H – Help others Succeed (creates Likeability) I – Improve myself daily (increases Capacity) N – Never make excuses (demonstrates Reliability) E – Eliminate gossip (shows Loyalty) S – Safeguard my life/lifestyle (parameters built around your life to maintain Integrity) Share in the comments below how you shine in a dark world…

Very often in life, the deals we get are suboptimal hands that give us just enough breathing space and a hopeful promise to keep us in the game of life just a little longer. And that is great!
