"men are silent about their pain" "men mental health is a pandemic" "men suffer and nobody listens" Men's mental health month is another way to be fashionably victimised. Not saying it's not an issue. But not every issue gets solved with a month, a badge and a social campaign. You want to help men? Get them away from social media, from the perfect families, perfect cars, perfect jobs, perfect farms, perfect dog trainers, perfect children and perfect lives on these platforms. None of this is motivational. It saps your motivation and energy to even get out of the sofa. Debt is no reason, marital disharmony is no reason, growing up children is no reason, job-loss is no reason. There is no reason to hurt yourself. Put the phone down. Step outside of your home. Walk 100m either way and start a chat with the first homeless person you meet. Or an old person waiting for a bus that never arrives. Or the teenagers selling dope instead of shooting hoops at the local playground. Ask them how is their day going? offer a little help. Wash someone's car, get their shopping, paint their garage. We are designed to help and be needed. So if you are feeling down, don't go looking for help - go looking for someone TO help. If you still can't handle it, call me. Take some of my load, and I'll take some of yours. ❤️🩹❤️🩹💪💪 https://lnkd.in/eWAgEarz #mentalhealth #menshealth #mentalhealthawareness #support #ontopic #getwell #gethelp

𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝟐: 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬 & 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 I had the privilege of sitting down with 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐡𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐢, a seasoned 𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥, 𝐃𝐌𝐈𝐓 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭 mental health professional, DMIT expert, and 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐫, to discuss a topic close to our heart – the power of female friendships and their profound impact on mental health. Suman’s distinct take to relationship dynamics in 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐞𝐧-𝐙 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 is truly unique and insightful. She sheds light on how understanding these dynamics is essential for emotional well-being and personal growth. One of the highlights of this conversation was learning about Suman's monthly mental health camp for women, which was formed to build supportive community where women can talk openly about their concerns, emotions, and experiences without fear of judgment. She also spoke about how men should be addressing their concerns and why is it important for them to be vulnerable as well. The best part about Suman is that, she is the best storyteller, she explains you various perspectives to life in the form of short stories, which truly grabs one attention. A skill that not everyone excels at. So, If you're someone who is passionate about supporting women, building strong emotional bonds, and fostering an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive, this conversation with Suman is a must-watch! https://lnkd.in/dV9DnEim Follow Suman's insights on linkedin - https://lnkd.in/dEJK45uk #SpotlightConversation #WomenEmpowerment #MentalHealthAwareness #FemaleFriendships #RelationshipCounseling #CommunityBuilding #WomenSupportingWomen #MentalWellness #SumanMaheshwari #EmotionalHealth #DMIT #WomenInBusiness #Empowerment #MentalHealthMatters #Leadership #PersonalGrowth

This small shift has the potential to create safer, more inclusive workplaces and communities. ________________________________________ Click👇 to watch the "Small Talk Saves Lives" video, and how Gavin uncovered actionable insights for the successful campaign. ________________________________________ 🌎 In our busy world, where it’s easy to miss signs of distress, this campaign shows us why understanding the underlying human truth is vital for a successful campaign. 🌊 “Grief is like the ocean; it comes in waves, ebbing and flowing. Sometimes the water is calm, and sometimes it is overwhelming. All we can do is learn to swim.” — Vicki Harrison 😔 In the wake of unexpected loss, we often find ourselves adrift in a sea of emotions. The waves of grief can be relentless, crashing over us when we least expect it. It’s in these moments we must remember to lean into our discomfort, to allow ourselves to feel the full spectrum of our emotions, and to find healthy ways to cope. 🌐 As a community, we have the power to support one another through these turbulent times. It’s important to recognize true healing comes from within, from acknowledging our pain and working through it. Be wary of those who seek to exploit grief for their own gain, and instead, focus on genuine connection and authentic expressions of love and support. 💧 “There is a sacredness in tears. They are not a mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are the messengers of overwhelming grief, of deep contrition, and of unspeakable love.” — Washington Irving 💦 Tears are a natural and powerful response to loss. They allow us to release our pain and to honor the depth of our emotions. In acknowledging our grief, we can begin to heal and grow. It’s through this process we can move forward, carrying the memory of our loved ones with us in a way that honors their life and their impact on our own. 💞 Instead of lingering in our pain or seeking validation through public displays, let’s focus on healthy mental health practices. Engage in self-awareness and mindfulness and prioritize inner personal work. This approach not only honors our loved ones but also fosters genuine healing and growth. 🌟 Remember, even in the darkest moments, there is always a glimmer of hope. Hold on to that hope, for it can guide you through the storm and lead you to brighter days. #EmotionalWellbeing #GriefSupport #HopeAndHealing #InnerWork #MentalHealth #Mindfulness #SelfAwareness #SelfCare Tiny Ripples➡Waves➡Tsunami of Love🌊❤️

Have you ever found it difficult to maintain your wellbeing at work? At some point, I think nearly all of us have felt the weight of life while on the job. A day or two might be manageable, but what happens if it lasts weeks or months? In a recent survey of 1,000 men in the UK, a staggering 77% report having symptoms of anxiety or depression, while only 40% report seeking support due to stigma. Last week, I had the honor of speaking with Mark Guzman, PMP, ACC about his journey through mental illness, recovery and personal transformation. His story is a powerful testament to resilience and growth. If you’ve ever dealt with declining mental health at work, wondered how to support someone in this situation or are looking for guidance yourself, his insights are invaluable. Listen to the full episode for inspiration on finding greater meaning, the importance of committing to continuous personal development and the power of owning your story. What strategies do you find effective for supporting mental health in the workplace?
